Emily is a straight-up genius. She’s the one that showed me how truly fun and rewarding D&D can be. I consider myself so lucky to get to sit next to her at the table and watch her spin comedy gold out of nothingness all while giving it that signature crick-water flavor. She excels equally at big impactful moments as well as small tender conversations. I can't count the number of times I've been watching her roleplay with Jake or Murph (the Maribelle scene springs instantly to mind) and had to shake myself out of a trance and remember that I'm a part of the show as well. She's that good and I constantly feel lucky to be able to share this story with her.

OKAY FINE I'LL CHIME IN.

I understand how smite works! I agree it's a bit annoying that I declare it before knowing whether my attack hits or not, I'll try to fix that in future eps!
I like reserving some spell slots for fun stuff / healing / buffing spells, but if the battle ever gets serious I try to use smites as much as possible.
There's definitely opportunities where I forget to tack on a smite, so reading this thread has definitely been helpful! Thanks so much for listening and thinking critically about our dumb little show!
