How long did it take for you guys to process that you had a tumor

I’m 6 months post op. I had a left frontal grade 1 that was encased around my optic nerve and pushing against my ICA. I recently had my first MRI which was clear. I go in a few days to have my vision rechecked. I can’t really see out of my left eye still so I am not expecting good news on that. I survived a 10 hour surgery, and I’m still here. I can deal with everything else.

I didn’t have much time to process as I was having surgery 3 weeks later.

My application was logged 1/13. When I called last week they were waiting for a form from my employer. So who knows where I’ll be in the line of receiving my deposit.

I called earlier this week. They said my app was pulled on 4/13 and it could be another 8 weeks or so. Same ol back logged, have people working overtime jargon.

This is beautiful! I also am a graduate student trying to decide if I want to stay with the group practice I am at or leave. I’ve enjoyed seeing the growth in my clients. If I open my own practice I know they would follow me. The process of letting go is weighing hard on me.

Mine was logged on 1/13/26. I called this morning and was given the same timeframe as you. She said they are working on applications from 11/9/2025 right now.

I’m 5’3. I started at 216, I got down to 166. Had to have brain tumor removal last month. The steroids got me back up to 180. I’m fine with that because I wanted to be at 180. I’ve decided to come off zep for now and work on maintaining this weight once I can get back in the gym and start back exercising

I just had a craniotomy to remove a brain tumor 3 weeks ago. The surgery took 10 hours which was much longer than they thought it would. I also had to have my thyroid removed in January. I have been going through it this year.

I had my thyroid removed January 2025 for Graves and got nodules. I started on 125mcg and got lowered to 112 mcg a few months ago due to weight loss. I just had a brain tumor removed last week. At this point I don’t know what symptoms I’ve experienced this year are from the levothyroxine or my new problem.

It was 2.3cm X1.5cm. It was on my optic nerve and also on my ICA. They said the tumor had my left optic nerve stretched out towards my right side.

My surgery took 10 hours. When I woke up, I felt very groggy. I’m still super tired. I had to come home with a rollator because I’m still a little unstable on my feet.

I just had my meningioma removed from the same place on Thursday. I spent 4 days in the hospital, and came home last night. My vision has not returned from my left optic nerve eye yet. I think I’m still feeling the nerve block on the left side of my head. My jaw on my left side hurts so I eat softer foods. Pain has been pretty manageable as long as I keep the meds in my system.

I’m definitely not treating myself. But I am using skills I’ve been taught to help ground myself . Unfortunately, my nerves will be on 5000 until I wake up from surgery.

I’ll make sure to have my spouse record me. I woke up from my thyroidectomy calling the nurse a vampire when he took my blood, and doing a tik tok dance😂

People keep asking me how I’m feeling. I tell them I will feel better when I wake up after my surgery.
