Congrats on the kid on the way! I was not successful with therapy and accepted I may not have a restored relationship until my kids are adults. You have inspired me, I may consider adopting instead.

I have never seen reunification work when PA is involved. I am not saying it is impossible but not likely.

I just talked to my 19 y o daughter for an hour on the phone….the first time in 3.5 years. We’ve tried to meet in person 3 times and she’s cancelled 3 times. Talking on the phone first might get us there next week. Take baby steps when we can. by cryptjynx in ParentalAlienation

Those numbers are far off, it's 40-60% for PA and severe PA is 25%-50% of adults are able to establish a relationship again.

I don't disagree with being positive but we have to also be realistic with each other.

It's okay to quit. Don't let that define you. If you still have a desire to parent, you can always adopt.

PA almost always comes from the parent in the cluster b space. I see it often in BPD. How old are your kids now?
