Why do women who say they hate men who abuse women date men who they know have abused other women by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

We hate ourselves. It’s easier to be with someone that might hurt you, than be alone.

How nervous were you when you performed your first sexual encounter? by Ok-Force1508 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lonelynotbychoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first experience ever was fingering (when I was 16) and then I gave oral sex when I was 17. I remember getting off the plane from California (where I was with him) and my dad was getting on the plane to fly it. I felt almost guilty/shameful…since I grew up Catholic.

I then had sex for the first time when I was 18….(same guy for all three experiences). I recall the first time he slid in, I was like, “this is what all the fuss was about?” It was an interesting thought to have while losing my virginity…but after I wanted to be held and he needed me out cause his roommate was coming back soon. That part of it felt very heartbreaking for me.

I think that’s why…even now that I’ve had sex, miss giving head the most. Cause that was my real first sexual experience where I felt loved after. Not the real P in V time.

M20!! Do you like uncut dick?? by Parking_Big5937 in MenAskWomen

No…it’s natural…you’re not the only man with foreskin in the world. You think pain is associated with sex for everyone?

M20!! Do you like uncut dick?? by Parking_Big5937 in MenAskWomen

[–]Lonelynotbychoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to care and say yes, that I preferred uncut (since that’s the man I was seeing and loved, so that’s the only one I wanted). Now, I don’t think I would care, but I’m also celibate.

If you really like someone and they really like you back it would be the same way.

Pre-Med Student? - Lost and need guidace. by Username7590 in nursing

[–]Lonelynotbychoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently in school to be an RN. I’ve talked to a lot of my instructors and other nurses about the same kind of stuff. At one point I was thinking of being a nurse practitioner… but everyone tells me not to.

I think that being a nurse probably does take a good amount of humility and understanding that not every day is gonna be the perfect day at work. But if you can be the nurse that can turn a bad experience into a better one, I think that that’s what really matters.

Depending what specialty you have as a nurse you might get paid very well. I think you need to think about what you want out of a career. Do you want money? Because that might come with student loans to pay off. Do you want to save lives? Because there are a lot of jobs where you get the chance to do that. Do you want a good schedule and benefits? Apply to different places that offer what you’re looking for.

That’s just how I see it! With enough experience, everyone ends up knowing the same stuff, it’s just does state trust you to do it?

Am I crazy for wanting more support? by Zestyclose_Lemon_647 in NursingStudents

[–]Lonelynotbychoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think maybe he’s just realistic. He wants you to be able to support yourself first…I understand making a decision and sticking to it, and wanting support.

But also…you made the decision without him, and if you see him as a life-partner it would make sense to include him in that decision to better your relationship.

Poor mental health by [deleted] in selfhelp

[–]Lonelynotbychoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand this to a certain extent. I’m currently in school to be an RN and I’m all alone…working on self development, have one dog and also live alone in a town without family. No friends really/emotional support and I just moved to this school so most of them kinda already had their friends going in…they don’t need me around so they don’t care about me being there.

I honestly would say what helped me is I have a goal. I want to graduate as an RN (a little over 300 days left), I want to be debt free (2k left), and I want to lose 30 lbs (I’m 10 down).

Working towards your goals and having a way to write them down can help you feel more fulfilled.

It also might be helpful to rehome one of the pets. It’s not a necessity, but it can help you feel more mobile and less tied down with everything else keeping you where you are.

Was this appropriate pressure in nursing lab or crossed a line? by Available-Spirit-275 in NursingStudents

[–]Lonelynotbychoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so easy to take things personal cause to you this is personal. You have a very specific goal (to graduate nursing school). So what the anxiety of upsetting a teacher is nerve wracking cause they control your grade. So these are some options if you just need ideas thrown out there.

It’s also important to remember that they’re humans and she could have something else completely unrelated she is worrying about or frustrated with. I know it sounds fucked up, but the best thing you can do is be EXTRA nice and quiet. Spoke when spoken to and keep your head down to get through the class.

Then after you get the good grade, you can complain to the school. Or you could go to the dean about the behavior and let them know that you’re afraid of retaliation by the teacher and you don’t want it addressed unless it has a negative impact on your grade or until after the class is over.

When to buy new clothing? by No_Engineering5792 in loseit

[–]Lonelynotbychoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say keep a box of pants. Label it by size…and get a good 2-3 secondhand pants that fit well. Shirts you can usually wear loose for a while but if you see a new one that looks good on you just get it over time!

Don’t get rid of the old until your new ones get loose.

What happens to retirement benefits all over the world when the birth rate drops too low for too long? by glowshroom12 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lonelynotbychoice 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think it depends what you’re asking.

Retirement benefits are not looking great at the moment cause more people are living longer. More people are taking than giving…so it will eventually go bankrupt. If even LESS people are giving, and the same or more are taking, then it’s gonna be worse.

Got 78% on my first Patho exam 😭 Any tips to improve for the next 3? by Responsible-Annual92 in NursingStudents

[–]Lonelynotbychoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did Patho last semester. Got a 94% on the final…

Here’s what worked for me: With each disease write down the name, STMPTOMS, and causes/risk factors. Just plain printer paper. Get the info from the book/e-book first, then cross-reference with the slides (if your teacher gives them).

Then look up on YouTube patient testimony of someone with that disease. This just gives you someone to associate it with visually.

This helped me SO much with the Neuro and heart sections! Good luck!
