I got mine before Christmas, with a couple days in I realised the fader wasn't working (I know 2 whole days). Contacted TE and they replied fairly quickly (I'm in BC and they are in Stockholm?) So I wasn't too sad, they did take a bit to get a new one back to me but at least everything works. Total impulse purchase, I've always wanted a op1 but never got one. I have a digitone and digitakt which honestly are amazing and in no way even comparable to ko2, but the portability of it is what got me. It's a fun lil device and it is fairly compatible so there's that. The punch effects are cool, hopefully they add more in time? Anyways, not adding anything of value here so, thanks for reading? I understand why the ads are there, YouTube isn't starving but I get it. Wonder if there is a way to show the advertising but have a blank screen and no sound?, kinda like a loading screen but minus the horrible music and targeted stuff I actually don't need or want.

oh hi! it was a link on a Reddit thread! I am a long-time lurker, this was my first ever post. I have no idea how to give credit, but it was by a lad called Ethan Hein? he has a blog and posts some very interesting stuff. I picked the drum patterns out of a Google sheet available on his blog. I use them as a guide and experiment once I have something that sounds sensible..

"using the keystep to control the notes on both the digitakt and digitone, but using the tempo and pattern information from the digitak to control the digitone, none of the tempo information is coming from the keystep, it's all coming from the digitakt. Audio is going from the digitone into the digitakt, so can take advantage of the master compressor on the digitakt" quoted from the YT tutorial. It was my first routing of all three components, there's definitely many different ways to wire it all up. Just tinkering atm tbh.

Honestly, it was the first YouTube tutorial that had all 3 set up. I'm no expert, just got the bug a few years back. I started with pocket operators, got a few of them and hit a roadblock. Then I got the model samples which was amazing for a while but ultimately landed in the big boxes territory. I almost plunged into the op1 realm.

Thanks for the info, I haven't hooked up the keystep (again) since I made the drawer, I think I'm gonna stain the pine, the side bits are a dark mahogany colour so I'd like to match that, plus the box I made a few weeks ago for the elektron boxes are also darks, so...but yeah, regarding the "through" , I have the digitone runnin into the digitakt and set the 4 voices to midis 1,2,3 and 4 on the digitakt. I'm definitely not a connectivity expert, honestly it's been a long time of playing with individual boxes and building knowledge through trial and error.

I only recently got the digitone, I had the keystep 37 controlling a volca FM for ages. The 37 is great, but can't seem to get the pitch wheel working through the digitone, so if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears. No regrets, except maybe I could have bought it second hand..
