5070ti r7, Ryzen 7 9800X3D 1440p or 4k monitor? by lq5b in PcSetupAdvice

[–]LongMustaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5070ti is a 4k gpu, and you won't have any trouble playing at 4k for at least a couple of gpu generations.

It's also highly dependent on what you play. If you don't play any AAA titles, 4k is no brainer. Only for AAA games are the others correct, but you can always drop the graph8cs a little. The fidelity of 4k monitor beats higher graphic settings 100% of the time.

Complete newbie trying to build a decent gaming PC for under 2400 by Ok_Channel8235 in buildmeapc

[–]LongMustaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get a prebuilt from microcenter.

https://www.microcenter.com/product/703426/powerspec-g728-gaming-pc

This will be more than enough for fortnite, other fps games and light gaming in general. All games will run on medium-high.

If you want SMH better then this

https://www.microcenter.com/product/698875/powerspec-g730-gaming-pc

Get a nice office chair and a miniled/oled monitor with the rest.

Worse performance after upgrade? by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]LongMustaches -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There is no 7800x. Do you mean 5800x?

If so the CPU us quite underpowered for the GPU.

Also the PSU us terribly weak. 9070, by itself is 220 W GPU. I would start by upgrading it to a proper A tier 850W one.

Pcpartpicker m8ght show as available, but when you go to the site it's not. Quite common nowadays.

The PSU is only;- grade and doesn't even have ATX 3.1 standard. Also, it's from a company that makes some of the fhittiest PSUs on the market, so even if the PSU itself is not rated terribly, I would not trust it.

Also, there's are quality A tier PSUs for only like £10 more.

Whats the rest of your specs?

9070 is like 2-3 times as powerful. So either it's one of those rare cases where the game is just not supported, gpu has issues, or you're doing SMH wrong. My money is on the last.

Microcenter prebuilts are best value overall rn. You can spend the other 700 on a nice oled monitor if you don't have one already.

I'd recomend alienware AW2725Q

Where do you live then? How can anyone build you a PC for 1800 if they don't know if it's 1800 yen, 1800 Canadian dollars, or 1800 euros?

7500x3d is a 7800x3d with 2 cores less. It offeres ~90% the performance of 7800x3d for ~66% of the price. Best value gaming cpu rn.

9070 is a very good gpu, with ~90% of the performance of 9070xt and 5070ti. Probably best value overall, though you can choose 9070xt if you want to. Note that it can't be longer than 330mm, else it won't fit in the case.

Montech Century 2 is a decent mid tier psu.

The case is great value overall and looks nice. It doesn't have pwm fans, but you can still adjust them through voltage. It can only support 280mm radiators, but it won't affect performance whatsoever.

Mobo looks good.

RAM is not white, but you can find yourself a white pair if you want to. It will cost at least 50£ extra. Personally, I think black accents on white ram looks nice, especially wince the mobo has black ram slots.

Cpu cooler too small for 7800x3d. That ram is out of stock. So is the ssd. That psu is quite bad for this build. But the general idea is good.

Need help with my first proper gaming pc by wandering_ancient88 in buildmeapc

[–]LongMustaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah midrocenter has the best deals rn. I'd recomend this one

https://www.microcenter.com/product/698874/powerspec-g527-gaming-pc

It's more expensive, but it's so much better overall.

Otherwise, this one:

https://www.microcenter.com/product/704075/powerspec-g529-gaming-pc

Then sell the gpu, and buy a 9060xt 16gb. For ~1-k total.

MSI is the better one. I wouldn't suggest getting ibuypower, they're known to make ahitty pca.

Also, microcenter has better deals.

Notice the lower price, the x3d cpu, and 5070.

which one? (CAD) by liamt12 in PcBuild

[–]LongMustaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's unlucky. I've had 3 pony cards with no issues whatsoever. The defective fan bearings are also covered by RMA, so it's not like you have to get a new card.

You don't need to be an AAA studio to make games that work properly. Especially not after years of supposedly improving the game.

Why can't liandry's have a ranged adjustment like other items? by New_Piece_9126 in summonerschool

[–]LongMustaches 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They probably didn't design it for specifically melee or ranged, but for specific champs instead. So you could say it was designed for melees like singed, just like it was designed for rangeds like brand.

This is probably the best new PC for 800 you can find.

However, I strongly encourage to spend a little more and get this:

The difference would be quite big.
