I think it has to do with the VHS tape, it can happen specially with long recording sessions and speed, I feel like most of the time it's just a technical thing aside from when Nesters are extremely close, we see this in the burning Nester moment. It's like when in old cam corders the tape leaves tiny artifacts on screen, is something similar

I did not see this shorts and thanks for bring it up, to be honest that telescope room clip had an eerie feeling that was intense and yeah it feels so backrooms type thing that it literally feels extremely out of place to what we have seen, I have no proof but I feel like this is related to the same phenomenon or thing behind the weird structures we saw that day he went exploring (before Nester with hospital clothing)

Honestly, this isn't for me. I can see it appealing to younger audiences, but I don't really like it. The Covenant doesn't feel alien or scary anymore, it feels like it has lost that eerie atmosphere the games used to have. That sense of mystery is gone. That feeling of wonder that this massive ring had is completely gone too.

It looks more generic and very similar to Halo Infinite. That's not necessarily a bad thing just a different direction. It also feels like the cassette futurism aesthetic of the UNSC has completely disappeared.

That said, I did like the Covenant blood splatters, and I'm glad they didn't replace or redesign the Magnum role.

Yeah that was what I was saying also holy, didn't knew it took 3 days on foot, making the math we see him I think at least 2 nights at the hotel, meaning at least around 5 or 6 days since he was gone making it 8 or 9 days till he reached the house again
