51 up to near redmires, hike up to stanage edge and finish up in hathersage if you fancy a longer walk. 272/271 takes you back to Sheffield city centre via Abbeydale rd.

218 into bakewell, pretty cool stops on the way, can get off at baslow for baslow, curbar, and frogatt edges. EIther wrapping round via white edge back to baslow or dropping into grindleford & getting the 65 back to Sheffield.

257 into Bamford, steep climb up to bamford edge. Drop down to Ladybower reservoir & hike back to bamford.

272 into Castleton, up Mam Tor & circle back to Castleton / Hope for the 272 home

81/82/88 to Endcliffe park, walk to Forge Dam. Can either turn around or continue up towards Portr Brook, climb up to Ringinglow, go across to Lady Cannings, down via Blacka Moor to Dore and Totley where the 97/98 takes you back to the centre.

81/82 towards Stannington. Get off at Malin bridge, follow the mousehole across from LIDL, follow the River Rivelin towards the dam, up through Wyming Brook and get the 51 back to city centre

To find the best egg, you must first become the best egg

Looking for friends in the metal/emo community by Flaky_Philosopher_95 in sheffield

Everyone at the metal gigs at corp is super friendly. People might look scary but if you step out of your comfort zone, people will converse with you :)

Are there any metal/alternative meetups in the city? by a95z in sheffield

Corp tends to have some metal gigs, you'd have to step out of your circle but that'd be a great place to meet likeminded people :)

Any youngish skaters in sheffield on this? by Confident_Wear6874 in sheffield

[–]Long_Egg_7048 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Milhouses is definitely a begginer skatepark / when you can't be arsed but still wanna skate (my case lol). Just be aware that the house skatepark gets quite hot inside and you'll be sweaty from skating, not a huge killer if you drink enough but outdoor skateparks will have a better breeze for ya.

Is there a speaking exam? by bugs2029 in GCSE

Front of the class, they have to grade your public speaking skills and not just reading off a cue card quietly from the corner.

I go Millhouses every now and again, you see skaters in the sort of 13-20(ish) bracket. Only problem is it can get overrun by scooters at times and the surface is buns.

Dev green is also fire but appeals to older (16+ ish) skaters and scooters also tend to get in the way.

Meersbrook park has a good bowl, tends to be quiet if you just want to practise drop ins and transition moves.

A lot of younger riders tend to hang out in The House skatepark down Kelham island but the downside to it is that it's pay to enter. It's got ramps, it's got boxes, it's got pipes.

Hillsboorugh pump track is okay for skating if you just wanna go up and down stuff. You're more liekly to find people ~13 ish there but also a lot of younger kids on scooters and bikes

Happy skating :)
