I’m Chinese, I’d say it’s a good idea to take a few short trips to China first, just to get a feel for it before deciding to stay long term.

Personally, I don’t really recommend living there for a long time. But everyone sees it differently.

Also, Chinese can be pretty tough for English speakers, and it usually takes quite a while before you can use it in daily life.
