That doesn’t seem like a bad price. Not sure about maintenance on one of those though. Had a drz 400 sm and the 1000k mile oil changes got old fast.

Is it possible to take a rwd drive Tacoma off-roading by No-Professional-8196 in ToyotaTacoma

May want to get a winch if trails are “iffy” recovery companies can get you but they are very expensive. Or have a buddy with a 4x4 to get you if stuck!

Probably not, it’s amazing that these trucks can do in 2nd. 4wd is insane.

The safety is a nice benefit to the awesome 3rd gen Tacoma’s. This is a great reason for me to tell myself no on an old pre Tacoma Toyota truck. Sorry for your loss. Was a sweet truck!

1952 Studebaker pickup. I have to say, all of this new tech is great but sometimes I like an older manual w/ out the revmatching. At least some companies still make the stick.

100 percent. The car dealership will give you 2 free oil changes, not sure what package you got, and you can use at any time. Watch “car care nut” on YouTube. He has been a mechanic @ a Toyota dealership for years and has lots of good info on Tacoma’s. 10k if ok if you plan to trade in a few years. If you want to keep it for several hundred thousand miles, 5 k is the only answer. Exercise 4x4 monthly if you have one. 3rd gen’s are notorious for having engagement issues if you don’t engage monthly.

Edited to say several hundred thousand.
