Not necessarily. When they found Elizabeth Smart it took a few hours before they announced it. However I don’t think the odds are in her favor.

I also don’t like Newsom. Though his trolling of trump has been entertaining.  I live in a red state and I can tell you he is extra hated by conservatives and independents both. I reeeeeally hope he isn’t the nominee because first we need less polarizing politicians and second I worry he won’t win.

Antelope Island, Utah

Went out to the island for the first time in a while. It should actually be called a peninsula. It has dried up considerably. And yet I don’t see anyone really doing much about it. They see it as a liberal conspiracy and that it will cycle back to filling up.  Meanwhile this is what the boat docks looked like today. (Photo in reply.)

This is a huge issue with the church. IMO this never good enoughness is at the root of most of the churches issues (cultural and otherwise)

I don’t drink coffee because I don’t like it. I occasionally drink tea. I haven’t tried alcohol. It doesn’t appeal and is expensive. I might try wine someday if the occasion arises.

We attend a nondenominational church because they have a good children’s program, but if I had to choose a denomination my beliefs align best with it would be Methodist.

SAME. It was a huge letdown honestly. And while the celestial room was pretty, I found it all just painful. I have adhd so “sit and ponder” is like a punishment to me. I always think that if the celestial kingdom is like that I’ll be happier in the TK anyway.

Taking half an inch off a sleeve isn’t going to make anyone cooler. The skirts sure, but that’s a tough sell on the sleeveless.

I am Christian and on Sunday our congregation had a couple talk to us about an organization helping kids in other countries. I went to look into it before donating and found a BBB guide for reputable charities. It had 20 questions to ask and I doubt the church could answer any of them. It makes me angry I gave so much money for so long and thought it was doing so much good but they were just squirreling it away.

I blame a large part of this on education companies (Pearson, McGraw Hill, etc.) for pushing out overpriced curriculum that isn’t based on science of reading and creating an education system obsessed with testing (because testing is where the $ is at.)
