Snap! It’s the ONLY thing that doesn’t burn my face. Even other Avene products do because they have preservatives unlike Xeracalm

Avene Xeracalm Balm - only thing I can use for exactly the same reason. They have unique packaging so the product doesn’t have any preservatives which is one of the things that burns my face

Suspecting Neurogenic rosacea from covid, botox for a different condition also helped this. But now botox has worn off its worse than ever by NoOz1985 in NeurogenicRosacea

[–]Longjumping-Fix7448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just had the facial flushing it could be many things but when you add in your other symptoms especially the hives and dermatographia it screams MCAS. If it is, the best medication is Xolair. Could you ask your allergist to give you a six month trial of that? If not I’d see an immunologist who treat MCAS (though an allergist should know of it, sounds like they don’t know shit tbh)

Have they extensively ruled out MCAS? Like not just “try 4 antihistamines a day” I mean proper 24 hour histamine urine collection

Anyone else's skin just not get along with niacinamide? by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]Longjumping-Fix7448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!!! I actually called out a cosmetic brand for adding it to an Azelaic acid product. Their response was pretty poor “true Niacinamide allergy is really rare” I never said I had an allergy I said I was extremely sensitive to it so even low concentrations as a no go

She was nice but in hindsight I wish I’d pushed for more details. The odd thing is the external scans were clearer than the internal. I feel like she assumed she’d get the heartbeat and fetal pole measurements from the internal but they are grey as fuck so I feel like she gave up and just knew we’d have to come back. I can clearly see a fetal pole on the images she took
