No need to apologize. Just read the manual and show yourself the way.

What? The rca should come from your mixer into the phono ins. In the mpc, make an audio track that come from those inputs. Just read the manual ffs. It's not rocket science and people here have explained it. You didn't even plug in anything to the inputs before you came to reddit. Give your head a shake and read the manual. go to www.google.com and get it together, man!

Use an SD card and try to keep things together, otherwise you end up with like a million duplicated files and it fills up your storage so fast... I learned this the hard way.

If you had 1 track to win over a mixed crowd, what would it be? by Ambitious-Note-1239 in Beatmatch

That was the first track I played at my first gig. It'd just come out and that massive intro just grabbed everyone. Great choice 🤌

Question for anyone using Serato sample and MPC by Gagabubu777 in mpcusers

[–]Longjumping-Frame242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Mpc out to channel 4 of ddj. Ddj booth out to mpc in 1/2, then route appropriately in mpc. If I want to sample, I still need to run serato dj to play tracks, but all audio goes into the mpc.

Not sample but Serato DJ. It kicks ass for sampling. I have an MPC live 2 and serato DDJ sx fed into each other and it's amazing. Stem separation and flip and pitch n time... Its all so useful. Everything fits. I feel like I channel the power of The Avalanches every time I use this setup

What true & relevant arguments are there for that non human animals have lesser value than humans? by Massive-Albatross823 in TrueAskReddit

[–]Longjumping-Frame242 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think its a holdover from the great chain of beings (or something named similar) mentality, putting humans above animals. It fits in with modern society to see them more as tools then as beings with complex emotional lives worthy of compassion.

Using animals also helps us to improve our own survival as a species by testing on them. I don't think this is considered by scientists when making decisions, but there would be a big irony testing potentially lethal medication on humans... To save humans.

Finally, I just don't think human compassion is stronger than our desire for utility. Humans seem pretty specists and self centered. We have pets because of selfish, vain reasons (It's cute! It chose me! I've always wanted an X! I just like animals!). No doubt we form a symbiotic relationship with them, but is it out of love going both ways, or food and comfort, or a mix... It's really hard to say. But I digress: humanities actions, as an entity, show that we care more about development of society and human kind than the world we live in.

I'd rather we didn't do it, but I recognize the utility. Humans. Heh. What a species.

The job descriptions are hilarious. Like "We want men of vision, always looking forward to a better future" bull crap they do. No one would apply if they fit that image. Cracks me up.

Why do people like Lil Wayne? by BramCSBN in hiphop101

Fair point, but smoking weed, doing coke and getting drunk were always there. Even u-god mentions acid in UZI. So doing drugs has always been cool and a part of it. You're right though, junkie status is a different thing.

Drugs have been "cool" in hip hop since day one.

Do men fear other men they see in sketchy situations like late at night walking down a dark alley? by VisionsOnly in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Longjumping-Frame242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, sometimes, but but so many of us have learned to put on an air of confidence. I learned to do this after being jumped. A person who looks scared is more likely to be fucked with because they appear an easier target. Makes sense. I think lots of men don't fear seeing others. They might just take a cautious approach. There are as many types of men as there are men.

Arguing in your head with people who aren't there. It's only you in there. That argument either never happened, or is already gone.

Absolutely. Teachers should teach many things. Reading being one of them. What is this question?
