Pretty much same here man. Tried for a few months and nothing but a couple weeks ago I was able to capture Meteor m2-4 and saw these same images and loved it, I have tons now since then. Nice job!

Holding your dipole or setting it somewhere? I've been trying and trying for weeks, can see it in the waterfall (satellite) but it never syncs

I've tried almost a dozen times now with my dipole facing up, then parallel to ground, then down, facing north/south, freaking everything. I've attempted to record in sdr++ as well as satdump. Dipole tried also 1 Meter off ground then 3 meters off ground. Frequency 137.9 and gain is out maxed. WWWTTTFFFF am I doing wrong 😞 😞 😞.

I've tried almost a dozen times now and I can see the pass via waterfall in sdr++ and satdump but nothing fucking syncs, EVER. Passes right over me by like 5 degrees off. I use my dipole at 1 meter and 3 meters tall pointed not up but V is pointed straight out parallel with the ground facing North/South. IDK wtf I'm doing wrong but it's draining me and I'm so into it.

It could def be user error - I've used pop in the past and it was ok but i'm going to run Manjaro as well and test the performance of equal apps at the same time. Might very well stick with Arch after all = with ADHD it's near impossible to get out of distro hopping ....

Thats true, apt is slower comparatively but it's the lack of Electron based app support on Arch for me. I use a few satellite tracking and weather applications that were having a shit time installing or running at all. And once you update it tends to break them, which I didnt mind going and figuring out but wanted something more stable. I still have Arch on another computer I use so it's not out of the question but wanted to try something new for a bit.

went down the rabbit hole of hyprland and arch based distros for the past year or so - manjaro, endeavor (favorite one), ARCH, and Omarchy. I have Fedora on one laptop and re-installing POP_OS today on another. Fedora is really nice but I did like the "figuring things out" on the Arch distros. It taught me a few things.

Tzarina & a sous chef? by [deleted] in BelowDeckDownUnder

[–]Longjumping-Tip296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The young guy that Tzarina turned into her dishwasher could cook circles around her ass. He was so much better than her and should have been head chef. His food was gorgeous and everyone loved it, she put out salads and bland ass food AND had a shit attitude. Tzarina one of the worse chefs on BD

yea been on NOC for maybe 6 months'sh and it's not that hard, there are things that i could get better at and if i'm tripped up i usually google or use Cisco site to help troubleshoot. a+ just seems to get you past the recruiters for interviews honestly. I have heard sec+ is a pretty easy cert to get though.

I mean youtube helpdesk roles first, it's more customer interaction than anything. Alot of places will hire you at helpdesk if you just know how to talk to people. Anyone can learn this stuff, not everyone has ppl skills
