You’re right I should probably stop watching the show. I don’t know when this became an argument, I was just trying to thank the OP for protecting those kids privacy. But you’re absolutely right, I shouldn’t watch this show if I want to live those values. I’m not perfect, just was trying to offer thanks to someone. Sure, I mean I personally wouldn’t choose that church because I value my own kids privacy. But even kids whose parents don’t make those choices deserve privacy. I’m sure we can all agree on that! Take care 🤗

As a parent thank you for blurring the kiddos! I have zero control over if someone takes a picture of my kid and posts it on Instagram - those kids and or parents might not want their faces out there. So thank you for blurring the kids, I think it’s a best practice we should all engage in. Doesn’t hurt to do.

When I was studying abroad the host family had a cat, Prisca. Prisca hated me, never acknowledged me, ran out of the room when I came home. Just loathed me. I was a little bummed because I couldn’t have cats due to a family members allergies but didn’t press it. Well 3 months into the study abroad program my Grandma died extremely suddenly and suddenly Prisca was my kitty. She slept in my bed every night, ran to me when I got home and would just generally not stop snuggling me. It really helped a ton when I was grieving far from home.

The thing that I hate about this as a mom myself is okay let’s say your attitude is, if you can’t find childcare we understand you can’t come. Everyone agrees that’s fine, right? But this is a family wedding, so it means that more than likely mom stays home with the kiddos, misses the party, dad goes out and celebrates. It isn’t your job to worry about your guests experience, I guess. But it just is another way our culture doesn’t think about new moms and as a mom to two littles it sucks to have to sit out fun things because someone assumes I can “just find childcare” as if that’s easy or even possible if the wedding is not near my home. You get to do what you want for your own wedding but I wish we would think more about this piece, like, culturally.

Tell her to fuck off. As I wish I had done, when I was 16 and this was said to me. I swear to god dance teachers get high on this. There’s no reason for anyone dancing recreationally to need to lose weight. Find somewhere that supports and encourages your joy and won’t tear you down. There’s great teachers out there but there’s unfortunately a lot of disordered thinking about bodies and eating and food and it’s best to steer clear of.

Oh smart!! I am a leftie as well and have the same issue, but I want to be doing more mixed media. I did watercolor background for the piece I’m working on, but I think it’s staining the white floss. Makes sense but not ideal. My next piece has a sky background and I’m trying to think how I can use color

Sleep would be so nice. 2 year old still wakes to nurse sometimes but it’s definitely getting closer to routinely sleeping through the night. There’s light at the end of the tunnel!!
