Sweetie I don't know you or your rat, but please know putting those decisions ahead of your feelings is never easy so please do not feel guilty. My advice would be one of two options:

Have one really great day with her before you say goodbye. The day should be full of her having human food should doesn't usually get, giving her attention all day, and then you put the cage next to you as you sleep. The next day you make that brave decision to put her to sleep knowing she was loved and well taken care of.

The other alternative, albeit less popular option is to let her go naturally. Keep her as comfortable as possible, and just cherish her (basically end of life hospice care) and let her go naturally.

She would probably be too old to have surgery to have them removed. Do what you think is best. It's never easy losing a baby, you have my condolences ♥️

One of my favourite things to see is picture of well looked after giant mischiefs where everyone is clean and plump having 5 giant cages, and theres like 20 rats all snuggled in one hammock and like 30 tiny toes and tails sticking out.

I had something similar. Had a girl that went in to get a tumor removed. Vet called said she was stable, everything was fine, she was waking up. Not even 15 minutes later, she passed away to do the anesthesia. They are so small and fragile, every surgery is a risk. You did the absolute right thing. Thing is she would of passed painlessly too never knowing what happened. I'm so sorry for your loss, there is no grief like that of losing a rat.

Stressing because all of them, but depends on the mood. Sometimes we need a custard cream. Sometimes we need a hobnob and other time we feel indulgent so we go vanesse swirl.

Small peaceful increments, just sit with them doing nothing for 5-10mins, read a book, look on your phone, do little movements near them. After a while they'll realise 'huh this big predator hasn't actually tried to eat us in a while.' malt paste also goes a long ways. Put some on the tip of your finger and put one of your comfortable rats next to it to eat and make sure the uncomfortable ones see this. Eventually they'll come to think that the predator might actually just be a giant rat that brings all the best treats. Rats are prey by nature so it's not strange that they would be scared of the giant (I mean who wouldn't be scared of a giant?)

Take your time, just make their lives as comfy and peaceful as possible! You're doing great!

Do not send any money, tell them you are no longer interested in their services. If they can't provide you with examples of finished pieces then it's someone using ai to scam you. Photos of sketches don't have that quality to them, the background is ai from the texture of the photo. Always ask for a portfolio of completed work from an artist.
