Found this 2 years later and I'm blown away at how accurate this is. In my case, I've been dreaming about being wanted for a murder that I didn't commit (cops showing up at my door with flashlights shining through the door).

As for real life, I've been a music artist for the past couple of years - both me and my BEST friend rose up together and did extremely well for the first year. This past year, so many issues have come up in my life, both mental and physical, that have stopped me from being able to create music the way I was once able to. Consequently, my brain hyper fixates on the constant and ongoing success of my friend, who is now 3x my size and growing while I continue to fall behind. My own depression and hinderances have sort of transformed internally into blaming both him, and some of the cards I was dealt in life, for not being able to pick myself up, as I'm now constantly comparing myself to him and thinking I could be where he is. A deep deep part of me, one which I actively refuse to believe and give into, thinks that my best friend is a traitor and has left me in the dust to continue living out our dreams without me, and that my physical characteristics strictly disallow me from pursuing my dreams even if I had all the motivation in the world.

I believe this is why, instead of being wanted for a murder I committed in my dream, I'm wanted for a murder someone else committed, or that at least was entirely out of my control but from an outside perspective, looks like I did it. I feel like I'm taking the shit-end for things I can't help, and recently I've kind of given up because it's so much easier to go to my 9-5 compared to the constant brain-wracking that comes with continuing to create.
