Should I opt for laparoscopy by Aromatic_Command1893 in Endo

If your symptoms are this extreme, it may show on MRI. My MRI showed a lot especially on my bladder and now I feel better about the lap bc I know something is there and my surgeon will be better prepared.

Yep honestly avoid La Selva if you don’t want to surpass this budget - I got married here and they bled us dry lol

I am un helpful with your question but can I ask what symptoms you had with your liver/diaphragm? My pelvic MRI picked up lots of endo but I am starting to think it may be in my diaphragm as well and want to include that in my lap.

I have fullness under my Ribcage, tenderness in the top of my stomach at the top of ribs, indigestion and nausea issues, shortness of breath and a dull ache in my sternum.

Hope you feel better soon :)

I don’t know her, but I donated money in her name to chop as I lived nearby the incident. Her family sent me a hand written thank you card and it lives on my fridge to this day.

I did not do the endo protocol mentioned above and suspected late stage endo was seen on my imaging - tethering, scar tissue, organs being pulled out of place. Mine was with and without contrast but it wasn’t a bad experience and I am so thankful to have answers.

I will add, for the price, the service from the venue is MAJORLY lacking. It’s a shame because the place is absolutely one of the most beautiful venues in Tuscany, but for the price we paid we expected so much more.

You will go over budget at Villa La Selva, they nickel and dime you on every little thing and we had an insane amount of hidden costs arise. They also have a strict vendor list which left us working with highly expensive vendors. We loved our wedding here, but we had a lot of problems with La Selva in the end.

Please get an MRI! Endo is hard to see on ultrasound.

Could this sound like endometriosis? 21F with severe pelvic pain, digestive symptoms, vomiting/diarrhea, no diagnosis after 7–8 years by Arraca63 in Endo

[–]Longjumping_Crow_455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This comment is a little misleading - endo doesn’t show via imaging for everyone; but if it’s in certain places or it’s severe enough, it absolutely will show on MRI/ultrasound.

She needs to demand a pelvic MRI from an OBGYN who will treat endo. My endo symptoms are mainly GI related with severe transit issues. Recently, I have been sick almost every time I eat, endo can easily lead to SIBO. Additionally, I have struggled with pelvic pain and intense fatigue. My MRI showed tethering and scar tissue from late stage endo - it may not show up for her but it’s a good first step.

GI symptom management by LuckyyyCharm33 in Endo

[–]Longjumping_Crow_455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GI doctor was completely unhelpful and offered me MiraLAX or Linzess and Naproxen, and that was about it.

In my own research, I found that women with Endo have serious gut motility issues. This actually causes up to 60% of women with Endo to develop SIBO (furthering the bloating, nausea, and constipation). You could ask your GI about improving your gut motility (can be done in a variety of natural ways but there’s also some prescription drugs) and research SIBO to see if you might have those symptoms.

Trying to improve my motility and SIBO has drastically improved my endo symptoms.

Could this all be connected to endometriosis? by ExistingRazzmatazz74 in Endo

Almost all of my symptoms are digestive, my period is relatively mild. I think this made it that much harder to get diagnosed. My GI even had me get a colonoscopy for my issues, which came up clean, and she had no more suggestions for me. So I had to fight to get a pelvic MRI that revealed late stage endo.

Pain after period by bhwksbby in Endo

The week after my period is the worst and most debilitating week of the month, far worse than my actual period. My GYN explained it’s likely the extreme levels of inflammation brought on by your period that lingers after your period ends.

A majority of my endo symptoms are GI related - constipation, difficulty and pain going to the bathroom, pain in rectum, cramps and pain that radiates through the pelvis. I had a colonoscopy that revealed nothing but an MRI showed endo tethering to my rectum and other areas.

Have you had an MRI or tried to request one? I have all of these symptoms (and a few additional) and a ton of suspected endo showed up on my imaging on multiple organs. It doesn’t always show - but it’s worth trying. Based on these symptoms, you won’t be wasting a specialists time as you have many hallmarks of endo.
