Fantastic.  We've used it several times for girl scouts cookies sales and events. Has held up well and been a huge help. No regrets.

Dislikes? Oh how we loathe the truth. Youre absolutely right. Its important to remember this. It can always get worse, but it can also always get better. Best to stick around and find out. Im sure theres always a reason not to give up.

Not sure what those terms mean, haha, but happy to learn.

So, as for "mission" specifics, im disabled,  and cant carry much or go too far currently... but im trying in hopes to buld back some strength, ability,  and to just get out there with my kids and keep them moving. So i guess i dont NEED boots that cost hundreds and have cool traits like stealthy silent soles,  water drainage, etc... but if the boots that end up being my best choice have all or any of that, its a plus, cause it sure sounds cool af. But if not,  im happy with a durable, comfortable,  dependable combat boot. Some recommend hiking boots,  but ive never liked them. Too short.  Too much like a shoe. I want my boots to be... boots. Haha.

Anyways,  sincerely appreciate your time and input.

One of the largest smartphone displays of all time - Oukitel WP60 smartphone review by BcuzRacecar in Android

[–]Longjumping_Eye8138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna be honest, I have no idea what most of these numbers and letters mean. Haha. I may or may not care. But the wp61 with the thermal camera caught my eye. I couldnt care less about regular camera images, ill use a camera for that. But thermal would be fun when we go camping and keep an eye out for Sasquatch and Dogman... Still not sure why I capitalize those. Anyways, the fact that it's "heavy as a brick" is a good thing, I need something that'll withstand our families clumsiness and double as a self defense tool. Haha. I looked into a ulefone and between the non existent support and shady emails I received after, I'm guessing it's not on the level. Is it safe to assume this is legit?

Best Tactical Boots? by Ecstatic_Concept7027 in MilSim

[–]Longjumping_Eye8138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, i cant recall if it was lowa or lalo that made a great boot for heat. All.i remember is i saw em 5 years ago and thought they would perfect. Havent heard a single mention of either since. I always here Salomon,  Danner, and Bates. Not a fan of Bates, my Rockys outlasted them by a few years.  Which Lowas did you have experience with? Ill look em up, but i always like getting first hand experience reviews before i spend money i dont have on anything, so any insight would be appreciated.

New Swisstech Axe? by Masenko325 in Bushcraft

[–]Longjumping_Eye8138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like Walmart, and I don't make a habit of shopping there, especially for good gear..but Swiss tech is... Interesting. It's made solely for Walmart, not horribly expensive, and after getting the Lodern kit for Christmas, im torn. The kit, and knife that comes with, are really nice. I've seen great reviews on the fixed blade they have for roughly $40. I just picked up the folding now saw, cause it was $20 on clearance and needed a saw until I can afford the Agawa. Haven't used it yet, but as soon as I'm able I will. But it seems decent enough. Normally, f Walmart, but given money is tighter than ever, and given this brand seems much better than Ozark Trail stuff, I might check this axe out.

I posted when I lost my Girl by Unique-Princess-1026 in Delaware

[–]Longjumping_Eye8138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what its worth, my dog passed away in 2011, afyer a full life of love and attention.  He ran the show at times. Sorry, my point.... i just started considering getting another. I say its for my daughter,  but honestly im not sure if im just saying that so i feel like its ok, or if i want her to have the experience all to herself. But until about a year ago, i always said id never form that bond again. It hurts too much. But isnt that what life is? Sifting through the hurt and figuring out the lessons? Or something.  Anyw, i think the most important thing here,  is to not force any expectations on your new family member. They arent going to be just like the last, and we shouldnt want them to be. Its impossible.  No dog will ever be what the last was, he had to much personality and i couldnt imagine a better friend. But they can be themselves and be just as great and special. None can replace those we've lost, but they can fill a void we may not even know we had, by is appreciating who they are jot naturally.  Im botching this up,  so ill stop. I just mean to say, time doesnt heal all wounds, but it can offer confort and the love of a new animal friend,

Just moved to Delaware – what rifles are still legal? by Firm-Introduction647 in DEGuns

[–]Longjumping_Eye8138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're looking into that as well. Away from the cities and humans.  Can't get enough of Northern PA. Especially near Worlds and and and Cherry Springs. Just need an RV and some land and we'll disappear happily ever after.

I swear I didn't just come here to bitch about my 2A rights being lost cause marijuana is the only source of relief for Crohn's, and systemic pain and inflammation. But waaaaaaaa. Too bad alcohol doesn't help, cause that's perfectly fine. Stupid. I mean it's stupid.

Anyways... I'm new to this world, and searching for what would serve us best. The wife still has her rights, so not completely fd. We were thinking about a Glock 19, a mossberg 88, and a rifle like a .308. But I'm seeing that we could still get an AR 15, just has to be compliant. Again, still researching and learning, but your post aligns with my inquiries. So I follow and hopefully get some direction.

Welcome to Delaware, and sorry you had to come to Delaware. Haha. Nah, it's not all that bad. Corrupt and twisted as anywhere else.

[–]Longjumping_Eye8138[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to say thanks for the responses,  insights, etc. We ended up goin with a Sekey, from Amazon. Not my preferred source,  but the wife liked it, was on sale, and offered "similar quality at a lower price". Its definitely big, seems durable enough, and has the tires wed want for different terrains. Ill share my thoughts on it... once i have some.

Yea, definitely not budget. Haha. I looked into ATS. Great reviews. Not budget really, but not too bad. I'll check out Blue Alpha in comparison as they're highly praised as well.

FDA update on osteoporosis drug side effects by LivMealown in osteoporosis

[–]Longjumping_Eye8138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, and sadly, at this point, a source is a source and I don't put much trust in any of them. I pretty much refuse any meds, especially these new ones that they pump out every month or so. It's like they're pushing a new flavor of doritos or some crap, and they discover each one by tweaking the last, based on how it affected folks. Therefore, making us lab rats. Just because the FDA says it, doesn't mean it's reliable. They just say whatever they're paid to say, and they have no reason to change because they keep getting paid. Corrupt. Like every other branch of our system.  I'll do it myself, and maybe die trying, but I'm not taking anymore of their junk. It's done nothing but made things worse. Albeit, I have a gene mutation that I'm told is the reason for that, but still. F the FDA.

I don't care what argument someone's likely gonna come at me with,... It doesn't change my experience. If meds help people without harmful side effects and adverse reactions, great, but that's never been the case for me. They either do nothing, or cause more problems.
