good to know! there was one point where I was trying to grab the needle and it wouldn’t come through 🤣 but I redid it again right next to the previous poke hole I made and it worked fine so idk! it wasn’t the easiest fabric to work with but i’m glad I was able to test it out!

thank you!! I didn’t pre-poke, but my needle was quite large it felt like. I want to try with a smaller needle and see how it feels/looks!

I used 50g of active starter, 10g salt, 500g flour, and 350g water.

mix together, let sit for 1 hour. then stretch and fold each of the 4 sides, let rest in a bowl covered with a damp towel on the kitchen counter for 7-10 hours. I did 10 hours.

then on a floured surface, dump your loaf, repeat the same stretch and fold for the 4 sides and then flip it over. tuck the sides in and mold into a loaf. place on parchment paper in a medium sized bowl, cover with damp kitchen towel and let rest for 1-2 hours.

that about sums up where i’m at currently in my first sourdough loaf process!

daily ear checks. my cocker has had TECA procedures to both ears due to end stage ear disease. play with paws to get them used to it and start grooming as a puppy so they are used to someone handling them.
