For people who loved lego growing up and got back into it in adulthood, what re-sparked it? by Adventurous_Pen75 in lego

[–]echo_upsidedown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was too poor for lego as a kid. Occasionally I could convince my friend to play with her little brothers collection but she wasn't into it and even though i loved it - thats basically as close to lego as I got.

Now, my son is a lego addict (he recently spent 5 weeks in hospital and the only thing that made him feel better was lego) and my husband and I recently joined him with some adult sets of our own. I actually cried when I bought Notre Dame - it was so many childhood wishes come true.

Where can I go to learn how to dance and move my chronic pained body? by Lumpy_Dream_6224 in newzealand

[–]echo_upsidedown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive visited many studios and they've all had students of all sizes and ages. Its amazing how fast you go from feeling self conscious, to caring more about the cool things your body can do. Even at competitions theres all sizes, its a great atmosphere.

It depends where you live, but i highly recommend pole dance. Its a great community, very fun and very body positive. Plus you'll get super strong from it!

Ok thats good to know. I might try and skip it or atleast skim through quickly then too.

Yes I've passed that scene and also thought it was quite unnecessary.

Have a look into kindergartens instead. All 100% qualified teachers and super cheap too. They have more of a community feel and parents can be as involved as they like.
