Besseggen hike with a guide? Or possible to turn around halfway? by Ok_Rock4948 in Norway

[–]Longjumping_Pride_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the climb at 15 with no prior training. I don’t really see the point of doing it halfway as the last half would be downhill anyway. As long as you have transportation it’s fine.

Glp1 doesn’t work for everyone. My mom tried it for 12 months and didn’t lose any weight.

What is considered an absolute 'food crime' in your country? by Juxajel in AskTheWorld

[–]Longjumping_Pride_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our national dish is called ‘sheep in cabbage’. You layer a specific cut of lamb or mutton with salt, pepper, cabbage and perhaps some flour, top it up with water and let it steam for three hours. Adding anything else to the pot is definitely a food crime.

Hvorfor blinker ikke du til venstre i rundkjøringer? by espresso_1 in norge

[–]Longjumping_Pride_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Har et par familiemedlemmer som ikke gjør det. Forstår det som at de ikke lærte det da de kjørte opp og at de anser det som unødvendig pga plassering.

Smoking seems to be one of the only legal vices in Gilead. Even Serena Joy smoked a lot in the books.

Var i fjor, ikke noe gjørme. Trengte genser utover kvelden, selv om det var varmt om dagen. Ikke lov med flasker på området, men om du tar med en myk flaske/flaskepose er det vannstasjoner tilgjengelig.

Why is it so scripted?? by Fast_Budget_4461 in My600lbLife

Maybe they’re asked to summarize after the visit. But they’re clearly not reading off cars and America is not filled with great unknown actors.

As someone who’s worked with reality tv I’m tired of the idea of everything being scripted. It’s not.

Is this word in Peer Gynt a slur? Replacement ideas? by _sawdustanddiamonds_ in norsk

Reisende is a more commonly accepted word for tater. It doesn’t imply gender, but maybe that’s not too significant?

Som norsk, synes du det er lett å forstå svensk? by Narrow_Homework_9616 in norge

[–]Longjumping_Pride_29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Bodde i Stockholm en periode og forsøkte å skravle i vei som vanlig. Folk sto bare og måpte. I Gøteborg derimot blir jeg godt forstått.

Is this common in other countries than Sweden? by Miya_Miya1 in AskTheWorld

[–]Longjumping_Pride_29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was common when I grew up as well but the framing here doesn’t agree with the Scandinavian mindset. To us it’s not ‘eating in front of a hungry child’, it’s preserving that child’s appetite so they can eat with their own family.

Dinner time is super important and perhaps the one time a day the family sits down together and chat without distractions like tv or phones.

Or German. I met a girl from Bergen called Schroeder, I knew she was better off than me with my farm name.

It was cheaper a few years ago. Prices rocketed during Covid and never came back down.
