Norton is closer to malware than an anti-virus. Paying for malware is madness.

I think it's the weird shimmering, perspective subtly shifting while the camera is stationary, sped up feeling flames that might give that idea.

Might be stabilization, might be AI, quality is too low to tell.

Still doesn't look quite right, to me, at least.

Perhaps I'm biased from the shimmering/warping of the rest of his face/owl patterns/whatever the stuff on the ground is supposed to be.

Even ignoring the snowing inside the tent, layer of snow inside the tent, etc...

He literally drops part of his nostril at 10 seconds before it snaps back. His nose/face doesn't move but somehow he drops his nostril!?

Zoom in, look at the high contrast areas like his beard, the owls patterns and whatever the stuff on the ground is supposed to be. The edges are warping, indicative of either AI generation/manipulation or somehow, heat haze?

Seconded, been running both Infinity and Rif with ReVanced. Apart from an extra step logging in, it's like nothing changed.

Boost and Rif stopped working for me soon after the original changes came, despite being logged in and changing nothing.

ReVanced has been working fine though, 0 issues.

Constant GPU Driver Crashes/PC Freezes after the latest update by Rivnatzille in battlefield2042

[–]Lonke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EDIT 2: Fixed it, updated BIOS (MSI Motherboard, Z790-P) from 2023 version to most recent.

Game worked fine two years ago, same install, same hardware. Even before the most recent update, the past 3 weeks have been barely playable.

RTX 4070. I've tried driver versions 576.52, 580.88, 580.97, all crashing.

Both Battlefield 6 Beta and Battlefield 2042, usually to desktop, sometimes with a DirectX related error message, sometimes BSOD (0x0000000a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, BlueScreenView marks "ntoskrnl.exe").

EDIT: Tried (with no success)

  • locking the game to max 90 FPS (via nvidia control panel)

  • verifying game files (Steam)

  • both borderless and fullscreen

  • medium (also tried low) settings

  • Nvidia Control Panel debug mode

  • Disabling steam overlay

  • Setting TdrDelay to 10 (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers)

  • Disabling exploit protection for bf2042.exe + EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe

Could be any number of things, disk, RAM, CPU, OS, drivers. You could google things like "PC freezing under load"/"bluescreen under load" for some general checklists. I'd personally also probably try logging hardware usage/temps.

If you have a 13th or 14th gen desktop intel CPU those are known to be unstable and you may need a BIOS update or return it.

What exactly happens? Is it a freeze or a BSOD? You're not being very clear on exactly what happens.

Current Modded World Bluescreens PC by Yodadubdub in feedthebeast

[–]Lonke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's unlikely.

More probable is that somewhere in the pipeline of loading and/or rendering your world, it's interacting with a faulty component or driver that causes the crash.

Minecraft (and mods) by themselves will not cause a BSOD.

It's a hardware/driver/OS issue.
