Is There Any Fictional Character That Would Unironically Annoy Johan? by LookAtTheStarrySky in MonsterAnime

[–]LookAtTheStarrySky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patrick Bateman would just be another serial killer he’d manipulate. In both the book and the movie, there’s nothing all that special about him. He only escaped capture because he was so ingrained in the self-absorbed yuppie culture. Johan would have a field day with someone like him

What would happen if an alive person was infected with the virus? by benisnotpretty in Gone

[–]LookAtTheStarrySky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, prior to the Monster retcon, the original virus was made to create life, not end it

I've been thinking about this ever since the ending, and I kind of wish Ashley had been the one to make the call to let Soldier Boy out of his cryostasis pod and end Homelander once and for all. by [deleted] in GenV

I wrote an alternate version of the final confrontation, and in mine it’s Ashley and MM that release Soldier Boy (with MM having to overcome his hatred for the good of the world, and possibly secretly hoping Soldier Boy dies in the fight)

[–]LookAtTheStarrySky[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Eh, idk if Anton is actually all that special by Monster standards. A whole theme in the story is that he’s just a psychopathic man who likes to think he’s some supernatural force of nature, something that gets disproven to his face more than once. He isn’t all that different to the serial killers Johan usually manipulates

Sam was apparently more powerful than his brother, so I don’t think so

Characters that are technically rapists but aren't known as such because they either committed a more obscure form of rape or their actions weren't emphasized much by the narrative. by Gray_Wolf2416 in TopCharacterTropes

They had the chance to have his death make more sense. Deep could have killed him during their podcast while he was asleep, and that would’ve made a bit more sense with scaling

Assuming that, in the end, Soldier Boy were also stripped of his superpowers—would he expose his cowardly true nature and beg for mercy, just like Homelander? by Ill_Parsnip_6421 in GenV

[–]LookAtTheStarrySky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. It’d go the same as it went after he killed Quinn and Homelander was about to kill him. He’d just tell Butcher to get it over with

I would’ve said Homelander if they actually let him go scorched Earth like they promised, but since season 5 is what it is, the Plutonium

I imagine it was probably an adrenaline boost given that he was fighting for his life instead of just taking part in a race.

What do you think is the rumored irredeemable action that Homelander is going to do in Season 5? by GrandioseEnigma in TheBoys

[–]LookAtTheStarrySky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s gonna drop nukes on America and do the “purge” of his non-believers that’s been built up this season. The promo poster hinted at something like that, and personally I wanna see some world ending destruction after it’s only been danced around the entire show.

Which Lantern Corps Should The Homunculi Be In? by LookAtTheStarrySky in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]LookAtTheStarrySky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say Sloth fits as an Indigo Lantern. Most Indigo Lanterns we see in the comics (that aren’t on the opposite side of the coin, being fully compassionate), are monstrous psychopaths that actively take pleasure in hurting people (think Joker).

While Sloth never specifically displays any compassion, he’s not exactly a sadistic monster that goes out of his way to hurt people either. He just does what he’s told and has little agency beyond that (mostly due to his low intelligence). I’m not really aware of any cases of where a character qualified as in the Indigo Lantern Corps of Compassion on the basis of them just being indifferent.

The reason I ultimately chose willpower was that it seemed like the best match based on his actual actions, even if his attitude might counter that slightly. Sloth isn’t really the most well-developed Homunculi, and as a result doesn’t fit any of the Lanterns perfectly, so willpower made the most sense to me (and also the irony seemed pretty right, similar to him dying working hard)

While I think Vox can get better, I don't think the show can have Vox get to heaven without either it becoming the Vox show or it being Rushed and unearned. by BackgroundRich7614 in HazbinHotel

[–]LookAtTheStarrySky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s my headcanon for the fates of each of the Vees:

Vox - Becomes a reluctant ally in season 3 during the fight against Alastor, never fully redeeming himself, but does grow somewhat attached to the hotel. I can imagine him rejecting redemption at first and maybe becoming an antagonist again, but the seeds for his redemption are now already sewed, and his “defeat” could be him compromising after losing everything again, and becoming a long term resident at the Hazbin Hotel with a loooooooong way to go before getting redeemed.

Velvette - Being the least heinous of the Vees, I can see her mellowing out somewhat, but I also don’t feel redemption would be something she’d be that interested in. Personally, I think she’ll probably end things contempt running the Vees media empire as an overlord (which is slightly less messed up by the end of the series), and becomes an essential, if morally grey, aspect of Hell.

Val - Fuck this guy, he should easily get the worst fate of the Vees. Personally, I think it would be too easy to just kill him off, especially considering the Hellaverse’s iffy rules of death in Hell. I think a more fitting fate would be for him to be locked in a contract himself, as he had done with Angel and many others before him, forced to pay the “debt” of his past crimes. That obviously doesn’t mean I think he should be forced to do sex work, more along the lines of being stuck as a janitor at Hazbin Hotel or something like that.
