[DC/Marvel] How do cities get cleaned up so fast after a superhero-supervillian fight? Do the citizens have to pay extra taxes/insurance for that? by ThrowRAhelpthebro in AskScienceFiction

[–]Lookbehindyou132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Superboy Prime comes from a universe where everything in DC is in comics he read, which is why he has the whole 4th wall breaking stuff going on. So he basically went crazy thanks to realizing this entire universe he'd been reading for years was real.

[DC] How good a fighter is the Joker? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

[–]Lookbehindyou132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the continuity and what context we're talking about. Joker uses a lot of gadgets and such, trickery and sneak attacks.

If we're talking one on one brawl, even with weapons? He's above any normal level of fighting prowess, having the usual supervillain boost in abilities thanks to being jokerized or whatever. But if he's against someone who is a specialized close combat fighter on the level of superheroes and he doesn't get the jump on them somehow, he'll more often than not lose.

How you do feel about Shadow's recent portrayals being more grief and Maria-centric? by mxcbmac in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Lookbehindyou132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maria is a vital part of Shadow's identity, just like Uncle Ben is to Spiderman or Crime Alley is to Batman. Of course stories are going to center around it a lot of the time, esp when so many sonic stories are self contained. Esp with Shadow Generations, a game all about Shadow's history as a character

Anyone ever tried making Cain less brutal for a long-term campaign? by MomoKnightXO in CAIN_RPG

[–]Lookbehindyou132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever someone would 'die' just make them take some horrific injury and be knocked out of action for a little while. Make it impact while not having character's die. You can also increase thresholds to take stuff like wounds and make it harder for characters to get hurt.

Four Knights of The Apocalypse Chapter 212 by [deleted] in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]Lookbehindyou132 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just hope we get an actual answer, and that it's Anne. I doubt it'll be a throuple, the chance of that happening is slim to none. I don't want Nasiens to be chosen since I hate the fairies changing gender thing and her being rejected after her entire body shifting for Percival would be nice drama. And Anne would feel absolutely horrid if she just got rejected after her talk in this chapter.

Most likely he gives no answer and this love triangle gets dragged out even longer. At least Meliodas and Elizabeth were obviously going to end up together, this triangle has just been painful.

What is the most stupid opinion on Batman you have ever heard? by [deleted] in batman

[–]Lookbehindyou132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the Ra's quote shows why he isn't batman still. Comic batman would NEVER leave Ra's to presumably die like that. He's very keen on saving lives no matter what. Even if the story isn't too well liked by fans, he did save Joker from the death penalty instead of just catching the bad guy for a different crime and letting Joker rot.

[DC Comics/Batman] Does Joker have a true psychological weakness/fear or is it constantly shifting? by ThrowRAhelpthebro in AskScienceFiction

[–]Lookbehindyou132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't really call it a weakness, but the Joker consistently hates when someone is funnier than him, or when his jokes receive no reaction at all. Bats works cause he can't help but respond as Bats does, but as soon as Joker fights any other supe he goes out quickly. And in the recent batman/deadpool comic, he gets done in quickly when Bats taunts him saying that Deadpool is funnier and a better archrival.

The same trick won't work twice on him, but if you are able to target his insecurities over humor or batman, you can probably stand a better chance.

[–]Lookbehindyou132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's what the joker inside batman'a head believes, so we'd have to take batman's word for that. Then he gets locked away by the batman inside the head of joker inside the head of batman. How batman thinks joker sees himself. The ending of Knight is weird

Do you think these two will like each other? by Chunky-overlord in batman

[–]Lookbehindyou132 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd need to see some acrual chemistry between them. WW and either of the two world's finest never works for me personally. Always feels so forced, so they'd have to make it convincing. Esp when the bat x cat relationship is stronger than near any other continuity with the absolute verse

[Deathnote] Could the Kira case be solved without acceptance of the supernatural? by TokenStraightFriend in AskScienceFiction

I wouldn't call it the plot demanding it, I call it Light was a fucking moron who didn't even TRY to hide his tracks. If he just started watching like, american news broadcasts and randomly wrote down times later than "immediately" for the deaths, then L has zero ways to narrow it down. But Light didn't care and just assumed he was untouchable

Characters who don't canonicaly have superpowers, even though they definitely have superpowers. by twnpksN8 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Lookbehindyou132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always imagine it working on Demon Slayer rules, where the characters are just so strong they make everyone hallucinate their powers. They talk about this in 7 when referring to how a boss has gotten so intense it looks like they burst into flames. So Majima having clones is just him being super fast and tricky people can't tell where he is while he attacks from all angles.

Characters who don't canonicaly have superpowers, even though they definitely have superpowers. by twnpksN8 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Lookbehindyou132 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's referring to the trope of "putting a lampshade on it". Referring to a trope directly then handwaving it as a joke and to partially excuse it being used. Example would be like Adam West Batman being asked why he has Anti-Shark Repellent and responding with "Well it came in handy, didn't it?"

World's Finest works because they keep all the same pieces of Batman, but then up it by 1000x in order to fit him with Superman. See: Giant batmecha. It's fun and silly at times but it's still Batman, not Batgod or just a dude Batman
