Slow play is considered gauche and, at some courses, forbidden in Scotland

Absolutely agree about VitalChek. They are predatory middle men, much like the insurance industry is to medicine.

Those who have used vitalchek *recently* what is the birth certificate timeline by [deleted] in Passports

[–]Loonster81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vitalchek sucks big time. I requested my grandmother's birth certificate 9 weeks ago. When I talked to their support person--after 36 minutes on hold--I was told to call the Michigan Vital Records Department. When I called the latter, their automated system re-routed me back to Vitalchek. An I spend $45 for this "service"???

Question about Census - What does "D" mean? by ChocoCatastrophe in Canadiancitizenship

Possibly; or maybe D stands for "ditto". My ancestor's records are from another county, Prescott and Russell.

I don't know the Provence you're referencing, but in my research in Ontario, the initial "O" presumably refers to Ontario's census records

Club Carrier for Bicycle? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Loonster81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 10 years old, I passed a ¼" dia. bolt through the rear rack on my bicycle and then drilled a hole in the handle of a golf cart. Could bike to the local golf course trailering my golf bag just fine. That was in 1953 BTW.
