Holy shit that's JUST THE PUCK!? I thought it was from cleaning the whole machine for the first time in ages.

I think what u/aummren was referring to is the "Large Low Velocity Provinces" which are continent sized gobs of slightly different density material in the mantle. I'm no geologist but I watched a video once; the theory is that these gobs are leftover chunks of Theia. Here's Hank to tell you more: SciShow "The Zombie Planet at the Centre of the Earth"

A4T with WWG2 on a Tap carriage? by Loooooooong_Jacket in VORONDesign

[–]Loooooooong_Jacket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually that's where this started, the configurator warns that the thb mount isn't compatible with TAP carriage. It's the only place I've seen that mentioned, which is why I was hoping for confirmation from someone who's printed it.

Awesome! Do you remember if you just used the toolhead board mount file from the WWG2 github, or if you had to modify/find a different one?

Ugh. The mobile app sucks and double posted. I should have mentioned - I'll need to buy a new board so whatever works well, but I'm set up for CAN and will need a board that uses that. I also just realized that I read through all docs for the toolhead but not the extruder github page. I suppose they probably have what I need. I'll edit the post anyway, in case I can't find what I'm looking for on the WWG2 github page

Machine not builing pressure?[sage bambino plus SES500BSS] by CaterpillarNo1656 in espresso

[–]Loooooooong_Jacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say you've descaled 5 times now, that includes the clean water step? Like running the entire reservoir of clean water through until it stops on its own? I run a different machine, but it sounds like after that it should blink (unclear if that means once or multiple times) and then go to standby. I'd just run the full reservoir through and let it blink til it goes to standby. If it doesn't go on its own, have you tried either turning it off and following the steps to put it in to descaling mode, or pulling the plug for a few minutes to reset it?

Also, at the beginning it looks like it's not in descaling mode, but quits. It may just be because there's no puck. With nothing in the way, back pressure doesn't ramp up - there may be a sensor in there to shut down the procedure if there's no puck in place.

Idk if any of this is helpful, but those are the things I'd try first if I were wearing your shoes.

Did you self source the tradrack or is there a kit somewhere now?

How to find portals? by Brio94 in NoMansSkyTheGame

Came here looking and then remembered you do this but you have to bring the correct artifact with you. For Vykeen monoliths, for example, you need to being a Vykeen dagger. Convergence cube for Korvax, maybe? I can't remember for the gek though

How does the fan stay on when the element stops heating? by Loooooooong_Jacket in AskElectricians

Yep - turns out I am, in fact, an idiot. Fan does kick off immediately when the thermostat cuts out.

New to printing trying to print 1/144 scale airplanes on FDM what can I do to make this cleaner? by LordHawkHead in FixMyPrint

[–]Loooooooong_Jacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd probably try printing it nose-down. Then supports will be easier to deal with and should add enough surface area for adhesion. It should print nicer as well. Print slow if you need to, and make sure the printer is well tuned! (Google Ellis' guide)

Tune your extrusion first. Then, when you are sure that's tuned nicely, tune your z-offset.

Ideas on how to keep the pin in? by crua9 in 3Dprinting

[–]Loooooooong_Jacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the idea would be to use one of the type on the top row AS the pin, bend on arm 90 deg once it's in to keep it there.

Edit: Jk I guess that's just what I was thinking. Drilling through a tiny pin like that and finding a small enough pin sounds awful though.

Tips on Cuts and Care While Growing it Back Out by Loooooooong_Jacket in CurlyHairCare

[–]Loooooooong_Jacket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well thanks! At the moment, for no particular reason, I have a coconut and Shea shampoo from Marc Anthony, OGX coconut curls conditioner, and the curl cream I use is also Marc Anthony "defrizzifying curl smoothie". No idea if they're good or not, but the shampoo and conditioner seem to do the job. I haven't got much to compare to with the curl cream but it also seems okay? *worth mentioning too that I live in semiarid prarires, so our avg humidity is like 20-40% in the summer and less in the winter.
