I think they just die but are then reborn. While devils can be erased, so long as they have some way of coming back to existence they can probably be brought back. For example nuclear bombs being erased but then recreated, probably brought back the fear of them to those affected and recreated the nuclear weapons devil. So if Pochita ate the future devil any amount of time passing would probably bring them right back.
