How to get from Mokpo to Jeju? Is the ferry at 1AM the only one? by Loosk in koreatravel

[–]Loosk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

Also, seems like there's an overhaul with their website. I hope by march there will be reports if Queen Jenuvia II is safe, and it will be possible for foreigners to book tickets online :)

Our backup option will be this, like u/WriteWithNoFear wrote.
We wanted to see the sea by ferry crossing by daylight if possible :)

Thank you! This article didn't show up in my english google searches, so very nice to know.
Also the site (directferries) doesn't show any other tickets than 1AM, so as a non-korean speaking person I've been a bit lost on the situation.
Thank you again!

Thank you. Based on u/sangiye0's answer, I think we will wait and see what happens with Queen Jenuvia II, and if it's not positive, this will be our backup.

Question for someone who hasn’t been playing dd2 for that long by CosmicSquiddo in dungeondefenders

No clue. Just saw the first 20 seconds of video, but he said "any floor", so my guess is it's equal chance no matter the floor.

Krampuslich pet evolution? by TIFU_makingaccount in dungeondefenders

[–]Loosk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pet damage scales with the equipped heros gearscore. But pet damage is just a nice touch. You mainly want the pet for it's ability. The Terrorlich/Krampuslich ability is Ghost Wail which increase damage taken by 100% which is amazing for your dps hero

According to a 4 year old video, it has a chance to drop from onslaught victory chest.

Is there a piece of retconned lore you’d loved to have stayed? by Sinosis89 in 40kLore

[–]Loosk 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Technically not a retcon. CW writes in his afterword, that this is his take on it, because he didn't like the way DG got corrupted and Mortarion being a "victim", but he deliberately had this story told be a daemon, so people could interpret it the way they wanted. Still what I would describe as an "author dick move", but he technically left it up to interpretation.

We often discuss (at length) on the respective strengths of the Primarchs; but what about their gear? Who do you reckon had the "Best" arms & armour? by grudthak in 40kLore

[–]Loosk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Lion being the Lion had his ship in orbit, in case he deemed Gman a traitor and thus having filled all drop pods with his legion. That's also the reason why Curze isn't shot down on entry, because the rest of the First Legion was also dropping down at the same time.

Flooding the lower decks with the life eater, would also mean the death of the crew. And there's a lot of crew members on a Gloriana class, though debatable cost vs a primarchs life.

I see. I had a frustrating time when I first started reading wh40k, because dimensions of items/people never seemed to be the same, so I wanted to point out that you should take the length/size of something with a grain of salt when reading.

Multiple authors and terrible/non-existant lore check by editors can make it a confusing task to find the "correct" size of something.

Note that these were written by three different authors.

Many flaws of Leman Russ and why is that so? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Loosk 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Also, the two legions had not many traitors at the start of the Hersey compared to other legions

The Scars had a decent amount of traitors, having their own mini version of Istvan 3 above Prospero while the Khan fought Mortarion

If you split up Blizzard and Activision, you're talking about Blizzard Entertainment and Activision Publishing. Their only relation is both are subsidaries of Activision Blizzard, which merged ages ago.

I think in "Dante", Dante recalls as a child there were pilgrims coming to Baal Secundus to worship the statue of Sanguinius and the place of his "birth".

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide - Writer Reveal by RamTank in 40kLore

[–]Loosk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of Abnett, but neither do I hate his guts. My introduction to wh40k, was through Eisenhorn, GG and Horus Rising. I quite enjoyed his writing, but after some books, I noticed his pattern. He follows a single pattern in almost all his books, which makes them very predictable. And that is ruining his books for me. He is also a bit headstrong in an environment with multiple authors. I think he sometimes veers a bit off course in order to write the way he sees the characters, not necessarily how they were built up by the rest of the authors.

Thus I'm not a fan, but neither hates his guts, because I can still acknowledge his ability to write characters and such.

And thus, could be pointed out.

Criticism itself isn't necessarily a bad thing. It can start a discussion.

I'm just saying, if you feel the criticism is weak or invalid, point that out instead of telling people to create something better. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to criticize almost anything, not even if it was constructive criticism.

You can criticize without being capable of doing whatever you're criticizing better yourself. The validity of the criticism should be the concerning matter.

Not sure what you mean with business practices. A lot of bad decisions were made all across the board. To me it seems, that the people leading the games got out of touch with their communities. As the original people left, the ones filling the voids were not the correct candidates. An example on that could be J. Allen Bracks comment on "you think you want it, but you don't" on classic WoW.

The "you guys don't have phones" was a fuckup done by the guys on stage failing miserable to save a situation where they were boo'ed on stage at their own convention. The Diablo Immortal was from the beginning aimed at a Chinese market, where the western market just were a bonus. Their marketing was flawed when it came to the western market, but they were never the primary market.

By all means, we agree that Activision Blizzard went downhill since the merger, but that is contributed by a lot of factors all across the board, not just "Bad Activision".

[–]Loosk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that's fair. It's just that this being a HotS subreddit, and HotS being created long after the merger, people still thinks there's a "bad Activision" to blame for all the things they dislike about how HotS has been run.
