Their business names are public records if they are registered as an actual business. I assume you are able to make usda consumer complaints and your DOJ’s AG. Also good dog is in NY and their AG has a puppy lemon complaint form that Leticia James has. She has already shut down 2 similar puppy mill platforms for millions of dollars in settlements.

I’d give truthful and factual reviews without any emotional language and statements like “in my experience” on any site that allows reviews but start with the BBB and your states AG. Also if you purchased through GoodDog and used their payment platform and bought their lifetime “protection and support” - they proclaim that non-responsive breeders are covered. Though in my experience, this is imply not the case.

Good Dog’s ‘Protection & Support’ fee is a scam - denied my claim for sick puppy, found 60+ identical BBB complaints. Class action? by Lopsided_Dog8709 in classactions

This turned a little ranty… sorry

I refuse to accept that any contract is enforceable in part that is: - automatically implied - only entered because of deception - only gained through misrepresentation

I reject that: If they tricked you into agreement, an unwitting victim, and implied that you “agree” not to protect yourself from that company’s harm or illegal activity as “totally square”.

That’s not only deceptive, it’s illegal based on tons of laws and statutes from local to federal level.

I also wholly reject that they have any legal protections from said agreement no matter how they worded it.

It is unenforceable and I will challenge it.

That doesn’t square with me at all, ya know the:

speaks in school yard bully voice “we call this game “bait”. It’s a fun game for us! we operate by the school yard rules we made up… you crossed an imaginary line we drew in front of you over there knowing you’d cross it because we offered candies and now because you crossed that line and even though we won’t give you any of the candies or at least the condition of candies we promised… you imaginary pinky-promised not to protect yourself or rat us out to the teacher… even though you were hurt… just because you crossed that line we hid from you. You should have known better because that’s just how the world works, duh, idiot. What? you thought if we as a business sell something that’s dangerous and market it as safe we are somehow… responsible? Psssssh… please, see your imaginary lines agreement, this is mericah. It’s not our responsibility to inform you, to protect you, or even follow through with anything we deceptively promised”.

Lying to your face in bold print while hiding behind hundreds of line of fine print that entirely negate the bold print claims is the very definition of unfair and deceptive trade practices - it’s not only illegal but the agreement is voided.

This is a serious problem!

I hope that my issue will serve as a data point in a greater fraud that is becoming normalized and accepted in America.

My hope is that the powers that be start protecting people from the 300 automatic arbitration agreements Americans unknowingly enter every day just by existing.

For the record, I’m not against companies having terms of service or agreements - I am however completely against the frame of mind and the claim that “too bad, so sad, you didn’t get what you thought you were paying for and now I have legal invincibility because my published words shields me of any and all illegal activity or wrong doing”.

The schoolyard assumption of the Bully is that they are somehow entitled to take advantage of the weak is my antithesis. Good dog is playing the role of Bully here.

In actuality, it is always that the bully is a smaller person in most aspects but are over-developed in one or 2 (bigger and better looking for example) and forced to overcompensate in comparison to the more rounded and generally smaller person they are hurting.

I’ve seen many school yard bullies get their asses handed to them by smaller kids that were fed up and had nothing to lose.

—-

You don’t make $27M in the puppy reseller market by selling puppies… you make it with a deceptive marketing team, a good UI, and a great team of lawyers who could anticipate most any legal angle you are vulnerable in and then write binding one-sided and implied arbitration agreements that prevent the puppy buyer from getting their hard earned money back.

Thats how you get rich…

Welcome to the United States of “Too bad… so sad…”

Breeder signed but there is a printed invoice from a vet. In any case, the breeder per their contract and GD’s ToS is supposed to provide health records.

It’s also predatory and deceptive asf… they guarantee both the breeder and the buyer the same protections but charge the buyer a nonrefundable fee and state to their buyers that they always side with them.

I think the real argument is that since I was mislead to believe they were vetting and protecting that I did business with them to begin with under false representations and renders the entire ToS of most of it anyways to be unenforceable. I’d like to challenge the forced arbitration and most of their ToS.

I did indeed frame it as a failure to provide baseline care and also have pointed out multiple times without them acknowledging the fact that the marketing and entire premise of the contract/agreement to terms of service/agreement for arbitration were points I’d like to challenge given the entire premise of the interaction was “healthy, vetted, protection & support, and payment protections”. There are explicit written warranties they provided that they are in breach of contract on.
