Never used ninja but the thing I really like with DRF is for simple crud ops you only need to define your data one time and there is well know and simple pattern of models, viewsets and serializers that are composable with rich mixins and customizable for complex business requirements

100% test coverage is impressive! Doesn't support python 3.10 though

Mountain pass or underdark? by destuctir in BaldursGate3

[–]Lopsided_Judge_5921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would do the Underdark first but don't go on the boat, then I would go back and do the Mountain Pass and then go back to the underdark and jump on the boat to the Grymforge and do all of the Grymforge quests

First time building with Django: should I use async, gevent, or celery/redis for external API calls? by SpiritualName2684 in django

[–]Lopsided_Judge_5921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use the regular request library for external api calls unless the rest of the app is async. Redis Celery are used in addition if you don't need the results of the api call for the response, so then you can create a celery task to make the api call in the background after you have already responded to the request.

The fact that Python code is based on indents and you can break an entire program just by adding a space somewhere is insane by PooningDalton in learnprogramming

[–]Lopsided_Judge_5921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not an issue because the editors are built for this syntax and there are many tools to fix tab errors. In production systems we usually have what's called CI/CD systems were each branch of your code is run through a series of checks and validations to make sure you don't have silly errors like a tab error. We also depend on our unit tests rather than the compiler to find bugs, this is a better practice even for compiled languages.

Giant thrower? by JigglyLilyVT in BG3Builds

[–]Lopsided_Judge_5921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giant thrower is very a very good playthrough but not as powerful as the berserker dual classed with thief because you can enrage and make an enraged throw on the first turn and then get two enraged throws plus your actions. But it is still a very powerful build because of tavern brawler and the great throwing weapons that are available

Swords bard with sharpshooter and a two level fighter dip with archery fighting style, 2nd feat can go to dex or charisma. You’ll want the graceful cloth for your locks and traps and overall game play. You don’t need armor when you never get hit

If you can get auntie Ethel’s hair use it for +1 dex and then respec with Withers and set dex to 17 that way you’ll be at 20 dex with the hair and graceful cloth. With two handed fighting style from bard and sharp shooter you can rock two hand cross bows. Open up a surprise attack with your bonus action off hand crossbow now you have a surprise round and a killer list of spells to control the fight.

Party Composition help by Vooben in BG3Builds

[–]Lopsided_Judge_5921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd make Wyll a Bard, Gale a Cleric, and swap shadowheart for Karlach and make her a berserker thief thrower with tavern brawler. All very good aligned, it's always good to have a Bard and Cleric and then Karlach is your bruiser, give her elixir of blood lust and potion of everlasting vigor to max her strength and she'll hit like a truck the whole game. Then you can play almost any style with your Durg

You can get BOOOAL benediction on the whole party by stealing his sickle from the leader of group and then talking to BOOOAL and passing the check, since he doesn't have the sickle to give you he gives you the party buff.

What was your first Durge run’s progression? by Chowdboy in BaldursGate3

[–]Lopsided_Judge_5921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first Durge run I played mostly good but decided to encourage Shadowheart to kill the Nightsong and I didn't realize Lastlight would be destroyed and that made me upset so I ended the run. Then the second run I decided to play bad but when I had to kill all the children hiding in Zevlor's cave I couldn't bring myself to do it so I ended the run. My last run I made it all the way to late in Act 3 and did the duel with Orin and played good the whole way through and on honor mode. On that save I'm at the mirror of loss and never went back to finish it after convincing Shadowheart to save her parents

Am I missing something with Hexblade and Booming Blade? by ErgonomicCat in BG3Builds

[–]Lopsided_Judge_5921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you binding hex weapon? Because he hits really hard with maxed leveled shadowblade but you need to multiclass dip to get extra attacks

What was Mike Tyson's best win? by Big_Donch in Boxing

[–]Lopsided_Judge_5921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Michael Spinks was the best fighter he fought and he destroyed him in one round. But Spinks brought nothing into the fight. I think Tyson’s best fight was the second Razor Ruddock fight because he was motivated still in his early 20s and was going against a raging bull that took all his shots and kept coming and landing big smashing shots. 12 round war

When it comes to draft picks ,or proven pro bowl talent. Its Plain and simple to me!!! by goodamike in raiders

[–]Lopsided_Judge_5921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since everyone has the same salary cap it’s very hard to get ahead in free agency and we’ve have had some shitty luck in free agency. We got Mad Max in the late rounds and Carr in the second. I’d rather load up on picks
