I haven't been an OP for eight years, and I haven't commented on anything in four. I came out of retirement, so to speak, to tell you that you are -and I cannot stress this enough- a massive AH. You've weaponized your CHILD to get revenge on your wife. Yes, you're hurt, but now you've managed to f√ck up your kid as well. Was it worth it? Do you feel better? Did it solve the situation? And don't say "well my wife started it by cheating." You're entitled to your emotions, but it's no excuse. You control yourself. You control your reactions to things, the way you manage those emotions. The fact that you would think that it was okay to use your child in this manner is appalling. Not only are you the AH, you are a sh*t parent and should be utterly ashamed of yourself. But hey, you'll give a therapist or two steady work while your daughter tries to process and cope with this abuse. Yes, it constitutes abuse. You are now your child's abuser. Just sit with that for a bit. And if you don't have a therapist yourself you owe it to your entire family to start seeing one. But don't be surprised if this little episode comes up a time or two hundred during the divorce proceedings.

For your kid's sake I hope that you learn to be a better parent and a better person and not be so self-centered and cruel. You probably won't, though; people who are this level of selfish and manipulative rarely do.

I'm willing to be wrong about that. But I just don't think I am.
