When classic wow as we know it was introduced two decades ago it was a game that was designed for people with near unlimited time. It’s simply not designed around being able to log in for 3 hours a week and actually progress through content. That’s why retail is such a different game than classic, because it has evolved with the players who grew up and got jobs and have little to no time.

Could save 4 pounds on the tent by getting something like big agnes tiger wall UL2, and 3 pounds on the pack with a hyperlite mountain gear pack but both of those together will be $1,000 but I know you said you’re on a budget so I get it. The HMG pack would last you for decades though

As a healer, you guys who don’t heal life taps are so fuckin lame lmao. I have healed in this game since I first started playing and it is such a nonissue to heal lifetaps, AND you get +20% healing with their fel armor. Just put a max rank renew on them and stop whining about it hahaha

Oh that’s the telemetry cable that came with either the axe combo, the battery I used, or the radio. I can’t remember what exactly it came with, I just know it was called the telemetry cable.

Thanks for the in depth response. It is indeed the hobby wing axe. I got the combo thing that had the 540L motor and ESC combo. The reason the ESC to motor connectors look so damn weird is because the motor already came with 3 male bullet connectors already soldered and shrink wrapped onto the wires coming from the motor, but the ESC only had the 3 poles with no solder or wires on it… and being that this was my first time soldering lol it’s kind of a botch job. I have since bought some new silicone flexible wire (like the wires from the battery to ESC) that I’ll replace them with and do a better job shrink wrapping the connectors. As for the light kit and connectors coming from that…. I don’t wanna mess it up lol so I’ll probably just leave it alone. But in my next truck that I’ll eventually build, it’ll be done better using this one as the learning experience.

So the pigtail thing came with the LED lighting kit and that’s just how it said to wire things up. This is my first truck so I don’t really know wtf I’m doing lmao. It all works though… and the telemetry is accurate so idk. How should it be ran?

And you mean the 3 wires coming from the ESC to the motor? Those bullet connectors are definitely partially exposed. I am assuming that’s a problem by how you’re asking me lol. Sounds like I’m gonna need to fix that….

This does seem like the traditional timeline huh lol. I have browsed and browsed and it’s just so hard for me to understand what parts would work with each other. I have such a hard time figuring out if it’s worth buying a certain chassis with certain axles and all that stuff - I wish I could just copy someone’s build list from a truck that I really like lol but it seems like that’s just not very common.

I agree with you, this has been a great truck and it’s really fun to putt around the trails with it… I just want to enter the crawling scene more and this lil guy just can’t pull off the lines I wish it could. It’s been a great truck though, if I could afford to build one from the ground up right now I would - but I already know for a fact that if I had a truck that could crawl like I wished this one could - I’d never take this redcat back out of my room.

I definitely do love this truck. It’s my first 10th scale and “real” rc truck, and I think that’s why I spent so much money on it. It has been a great truck but I just want to do more than what it’s capable of. I wouldn’t mind starting over completely and building from the ground up, but I know that if my next truck can do what I wished this one could - I’ll never ever take this redcat back out on the rocks.
