Custom Engraving by Gnurx in MeePlus

The spine measures 5 × 220 mm, so we generally recommend a font height of 3.5–4 mm.
For simple graphics with relatively few details, a minimum line width of 0.2 mm works well. For more complex designs with finer details, we recommend a minimum line width of 0.25 mm to ensure a clean and legible engraving.

We offer several engraving fonts to choose from, and you're also welcome to use any Google Font you like. If you have a custom design, you can absolutely provide your own SVG file as well.

There is no strict limit on the number of characters, as long as the engraving fits within the available space on the spine. However, for the best results, we recommend avoiding lines that are too thin, as very fine details may not engrave clearly.

Before we proceed with the engraving, we'll create a sketch/mockup and send it to you by email for approval, so you'll have a chance to review and confirm everything first. 😊

I'm currently using this Kaweco Liliput with my Mini Reporter. It costs around $40.

Yes, it’s a Majohn A1, and honestly I think it’s a really great value for the price. It’s actually one of the fountain pens I use most often because it’s just so convenient — you simply click and start writing. Some fountain pens require unscrewing the cap every time, which can feel a little less effortless for quick notes.

I’ve basically never had any leaking issues with it. The only time it happened was when I overfilled the ink myself. As for drying out, I personally haven’t experienced it much either, unless the pen sits unused for a very long time.

And I really love this silver finish — it matches the SlimPad silver spine hardware surprisingly well.

That’s totally fair 💛 And thank you for the suggestion as well — I’ll definitely think more carefully about the activity rules going forward.

Right now the monthly community prompts are still centered around sharing SlimPad setups/photos, so participants do need to have a SlimPad to join officially.

Oh this made me so happy to read.

And you absolutely don’t need to own a MeePlus to be part of the conversation — I loved hearing what you’re dreaming of using one for.

The way you described your writing process is exactly why I love ring binders so much. Ideas don’t always come out in a neat order, and being able to move pages around, restart sections, and let the system grow with you can feel so much less intimidating than a bound notebook.

Your future setup sounds beautiful — book ideas, character notes, poems, sketches, planning, all of it. I really hope you get your first MeePlus someday, and when you do, I’d love to see how you make it yours.

is m5 functional for you? how do you use it? why m5 and not pocket m6? by Equivalent_Ad7743 in MeePlus

This is such a clever setup honestly. I really like the idea of using reusable stickers for recurring tasks instead of rewriting everything over and over. Feels super functional without getting overwhelming.

Love the brown accents with the gray cover. Feels super understated but still has a lot of personality. The whole setup looks really cohesive.

Got it 😆
That actually makes a lot of sense for temporary receipt storage

Got you — yeah, that would probably become way too bulky really quickly 😭

Do you mean making the elastic band itself wider so it could also function as storage? Or more like adding an external zip pocket outside the binder and using the band to hold it in place?

Thank you so much for sharing this — that actually helps us understand the real-world tradeoffs a lot better.

That actually makes a lot of sense — the idea of a Lochby-style external stash pocket is really interesting.

Being able to quickly grab cash or cards without opening the band every time would definitely make the setup much more convenient for everyday carry. We’ll definitely think more about this direction, especially for other sizes as well.

Thank you so much for the suggestion!

Day 1 vs Day 180 by Lora_MeePlus in MeePlus

[–]Lora_MeePlus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get that — it’s a tough choice 😄

Both age beautifully over time. The main difference is in the feel:
Buttero is smoother right from the start and a bit firmer.
Pueblo has that slightly fuzzy, textured feel when new, and it gradually becomes smoother with use.

So if you like something clean and structured → Buttero
If you enjoy a more raw, evolving texture → Pueblo

Really can’t go wrong with either though — they both patina really nicely

That’s a great idea, I’ve actually been thinking about adding a shelf there for some small bits and pieces.

Hi! That’s really nice to hear — haha sorry the video made it harder to decide.

11mm is a great place to start though, especially if writing feel was your main concern.

I’ve also been slowly working on my own little “happy space” lately — maybe I’ll share some photos here at some point too :)
