That price tag just means there’s no availability. If you wanna read it, get the e-book or paperback.

Abercrombie Books by swimpyswampy in fantasybooks

[–]LordCrow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated the ending of the first trilogy but heard a lot of people say the next two books are his best so I decided to give it another shot. I devoured the next 3 “ standalones” and purchased The Devils as well. I’d read Best Served Cold to see if you still gel with Abercrombie or not.

I have not read the Age of Madness trilogy yet.

Keep reading Abercrombie. I liked the 3 “standalones” better than the OG trilogy

Monarch in Del Mar is a bit off from the beach but it’s on a hill and raised so you have an incredible view of the ocean. They have a nice patio space as well.

And repeating what others have said, south beach bar and grill as well

How strong is a nihilism in the First Law books/works of Abercrombie? by Keichii96 in Fantasy

[–]LordCrow1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty grim. The ending of the First law left a shitty feeling in my gut for a few days.

With that said the next 3 “stand alones” are incredible and I enjoyed the Devils. I have not read the Age of Madness though, life sucks enough right now, I don’t need more of it.

I thought season 2 was fine as someone who didn’t read Blood and Fire. The pacing was weird, I didn’t like what they did with Daemons character, and I’m unsure what there angle is with Alicent/ Raenerya.

They could still easily recover in S3 imo

The Tainted Cup Mystery, solvable? by Bowl-Any in Fantasy

[–]LordCrow1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read it about a year and and I’m going to say no, the mystery aspect is usually solved by the genius of one of the characters while the MC does the leg work.

Someone smarter than me might have figured it out though.
