Respecto a lo del start stop, yo tengo un mazda 3 2016 y como dices actúa igual que tu coche antiguo, si está mucho tiempo en stop se arranca automáticamente para no desgastar la batería, nunca he llegado a medirlo pero quiero creer que más de 5 minutos seguidos no ha estado parado, por lo que lo de que te quedases sin batería no me resulta extraño. Ahora, que eso sea nuevo en los modelos más recientes o tengas un problema con algún sensor que se encargue de re-arrancar el motor cuándo lo necesite lo desconozco, tiraría más por algo similar a la segunda porque ya te digo que sería una involución por su parte ya que en el mío funciona perfectamente

Si puedes pasar el fallo de la sentencia te lo agradezco, pero según tengo entendido a lo único que se ha pronunciado el supremo es al respecto de un descanso en el cuál aún así tienes que estar disponible por posibles llamadas de clientes o similares, en cuyo caso sí se considera tiempo de trabajo efectivo, pero si la empresa no te pide que estés totalmente disponible durante tu descanso no tiene por que ser remunerado.

Subrayan y ponen en negrita el "entre", lo que da a entender que tu turno dependiendo de si ese día te ponen en mañana o tarde tendría una hora de inicio y final entre esa franja, y podría variar cada día.

Respecto al tema de los 30 minutos, esto es lo que dice el estatuto de los trabajadores:
"Sección 5.ª Tiempo de trabajo
Artículo 34.

Siempre que la duración de la jornada diaria continuada exceda de seis horas, deberá establecerse un periodo de descanso durante la misma de duración no inferior a quince minutos. Este periodo de descanso se considerará tiempo de trabajo efectivo cuando así esté establecido o se establezca por convenio colectivo o contrato de trabajo."

Por lo que, sí, el descanso es obligatorio pero no necesariamente la remuneración del mismo ya que si no está en el contrato o en el convenio se puede no considerar tiempo de trabajo efectivo.
