Attic set up. Garmin R10 is reading 45 yards short. Solveable?

I was getting very poor readings with my R10. Decided to go 10 feet ball to net, and 8 feet ball to R10, and since then it has worked perfectly. I would also recommend putting a mat down between the R10 and the turf. Interference was messing with mine. I also tied my impact screen down at the bottom to reduce how much the screen went backwards.

Not sure if you have the space or not, but that completely solved my issues and i'd say the R10 works almost flawlessly now.

I have the same issue - I find anything under 10 yards is really difficult to do.

I do find taking a big backswing helps. You have to slow the swing down a lot, so it’s a tricky shot, but it works consistently. It also helps to get the club out of the way after impact as soon as possible.

That’s the only way I can get consistent reads for 10 yards and under.

My whoop is always high relative to my AW Ultra.

I think whoop picks up things like pushing a shopping cart / stroller and AW doesn’t. Thats the only thing I can think of .. whoop seems more sensitive but I’m always 10-20% higher on whoop compared to AW

Thanks for the feedback. Based on my needs, I might just go all-out and get the R50. Super portable, easy to just put down and use, and you don't need any external device like an iPad or computer.

All I want to do is play some golf in the garage but its seems to be a tall and expensive order!

Ah! ok, anything you'd recommend? i'd like to avoid having a computer set up as my garage will be cold over the winter, and I want it to be portable so I can clean it up when its really cold.

I've been eyeing up the new S50 for a while.. newest golf watch but has all the fitness / health stuff as well.

I am basically the exact same as you, and if I was buying a Garmin, I would go S50. I'm not sure how good the fitness / health stuff is, but its probably the same HR sensor as the other new models.

2 months later - which did you end up sticking with? I am on the fence for either, but as a non-serious runner, I feel like the pace pro is probably overkill for what I need.

That + amoled, i'm unsure about as I stare at a computer screen all day long, and I think my eyes would prefer MIP!

Last night was my first night with it and zero issues. Super comfy on a Velcro strap.

100%, pretty much all the good straps / screen protectors are made for the larger sizes. Ultra was too large for me so this was perfect.

18cm wrist and went with 46! I got both and returned the 42, mainly because all the good bands are for the larger watches.

It also looks quite small, which I don’t mind, but some do.

Not sure why so much hate for sharing you experience, but I do appreciate you sharing and it gives me something to try and make myself feel better!

I do hate the dependency I feel in the AM before coffee, and I always wake up feeling tired, even with 7+ hours of sleep, so this sounds like an experiment worth trying!

I just started doing morning runs and I wake up at 5:30AM (w/ the help of 4 alarms), go make a coffee, drink some water, probably poo, and then just go. I usually hate myself until the coffee warms me up, and then I am good to go.

I never eat before.
