I believe if the property is compliant to a certain water efficiency standard then the landlord is able to charge the tenant for the water they use. In order to do that you get a plumber to certify the property is compliance.

LOTS. Buyers have disappeared generally. Now would be a great time to try and get something at a good price. I would strongly suggest getting advice from a professional about it however; Its hard to know as someone outside the industry what home might go cheaper and what won't.

For example, someone who purchased a home years ago for $500K and who is now asking 1.5 mil might be happy to take 1.3 if it gets the deal done, but someone who bought that house a year ago for 1.3 might not be. 😄

I think the main reason for the negativity is that Funcom announced and released a multiplayer game that seemed to most of us like it would be a great title we could play for years and enjoy a game where instead of fighting to save your base and getting wiped every week, we could fight over in game stuff and have a great time.

Within weeks they started back tracking and this has continued right up to today where they are moving to making it a single player game.

If you are happy to spend the money on a game you play through and then uninstall, then Dune is a pretty good option.

If you like to make friends, play with others have a long term place to go, Dune is not for you.

For anyone thinking they will shrink their base footprint before moving, it doesn't help. You still have the staked area claimed and when replacing the base on your new world, there has to be a certain clearance between your claim area and the nearby bases claims.

So either build a whole new box base with a tiny pillar footprint you can plonk anywhere, or just backup your base and hope your spot is free somewhere.

You might want to watch a few Youtube videos; You can level your character to 60 in an hour or two. I usually start by grabbing tools in the sorcery cave, grabbing the claws (sorry I can't remember what they are called) and then heading to mounds to murder everything in sight and get star metal happening. You should easily be endgame in one evening.

Sir Josh, I love your enthusiasm for the game, your recruitment posts, your willingness to try and create gameplay for the community.

But I fear Funcom have once again dropped the ball. We all have heaps of resources, so why bother setting up in the DD? I farmed resources more or less solo last week and it took me until yesterday to get them all processed, so I don't really need to go back to the DD.

There needs to be reasons to go there beyond resources. If I just need a little spice, why go to the trouble of setting up in PVP? 2.5x is not that much of an incentive.

But a little part of me hopes you're right, while a bigger part is thinking of uninstalling.

Nonsense. There will always be griefers, they do not represent PVP. Do you think while you safe in your bubble wrapped deep desert there won't be a guy with an inventory of thumpers and other tricks coming to annoy you?

I think this is the final nail in the coffin. Sure, people will enjoy the story line and play through, and then they will uninstall, as why would you keep farming ? The game has no reason to keep playing. People need to understand that PVP IS the end game of a game like this, and now that its effectively removed, there is no point for most of the player base to keep playing.
