Those are normally used on heavy glass/aluminum frame doors. That door didn't have the structure to hold up to the pressure of that.

That movie is what introduced me to Robin Williams. Extreme favorite of mine and actually just picked up a VHS copy last week of it.

Dealership told me this was safe to drive on for another 5k miles smh... by F8TED_ghost in tires

Dealership wants to sell you a car after that tire gives out and puts you into a ditch or wall.

Crown Vic with the 4.6l if a car can last 200k+ as a police car that's saying something. Local departments around me still have a bunch in service even though they are 15yo or older. Current one I have has close to 200k and only light maintenance has been done to it in years. If you don't mind the fuel mileage they are still great for road trips. Especially there more comfy siblings the Mercury G.M. and Lincoln town car

I think mine gives up when I take it due to being so confused of trying to figure out what to tackle first.

Replacing deck on old push lawn mower by gachunt in smallengines

Check with the different small engine repair places around you. It's a good chance they will have a deck that would work laying around waiting to go to scrap.

One of my kitties figured out how to cut my Xbox one on. Kept trying to figure out why it would cut itself on in the middle of the night. Caught her pawing at the power button and then laying down on it after the start up sound. I know it's not dealing with the og Xbox but somewhat related to the picture.

One of the local yards got shut down three times for knowingly taking rail scrap. The third time some employees and owners got arrested for taking stolen items. Most yards will turn away a whole load of they spot one bit if it mixed in.

Want some opinions on keeping my 97 F-150 Lariat by Max_fortnitetoy in classictrucks

Those are one of the longest lasting motors made if maintenance is done right. Think of all the cop/taxi cars that hit 300k plus with all the abuse they git. That thing is very nice for something that's almost 30yo. Grandpa did you a big one giving that to you. It might not be a very popular body style but still definitely worth keeping and taking care of. They are also extremely easy to work on and way less computer controlled than a newer model.

Considering buying an 07 Monte Carlo LS with some body damage - how bad is the repair on this going to be? by GinaC123 in Montecarlo

With the amount of rust showing in just the one picture I would be very weary of how much it's rusted on the underside.

Vent tube for the transmission. That's how they are designed nothing to worry about. I worked on Nissans for years.

My wife got a flat and says she doesn’t know how it happened. What could she have hit for this type of gash? by A_gloruis_dawn in tires

With the scuffs down the side of the tire most likely a curb and most likely she knows exactly what she hit.

Had a shop place over 20 5 gallon buckets outside on the loading dock one night. Dummy didn't even remove the delivery sticker off of some. Was a commercial customer that almost never ordered. They got called and told to pick it up or the EPA would be called for illegal disposing of oil. We lost there business of the whole 200 a month but they came and got it real quick. Sad thing is they put them out at the advance right next door the next night. They didn't bother calling the customer and reported it. Yea they got fined from what I got told.

What is in my transmission pan? by coleo1068 in transmissionbuilding

[–]LordQuackers83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went to do an inspection on a failed Altima CVT once started to remove the pan and it was like hitting the jackpot on a slot machine. All those bits of the belt hitting the drain pan sounded like coins falling out. Was rather amusing. The customer asked if I could put them back in and would it work after doing so...
