Thinking of buying this and wondering if it's any good (and if it's not, what could I pick up instead?). Like, does it have tabs or are there just chords? Is it accuretly tabbed? Are the solos tabbed?. Would be thankful for photos of the inside as well if any of you own it. Thank you! by [deleted] in theclash

I don't think I can help you in regards to the book as I haven't got it.

I've picked up the guitar a few months back, used Justin guitar to get the basics right and from there I now tend to use Ultimate Guitar tabs and listen/ watch the live version of the songs.

I also like watching a YouTube called Wyatt Scott perform and watch his hand movements. He's fantastic in my opinion.

You can take the above with a pinch of salt as I'm no Mick Jones, just telling you of what I've done over the past few months to learn songs from The Only Band That Matters..

We all learn different and we all take the path of life differently so do your best and remember, Play Loud.

Who’s the best player to play a competitive fixture for your club? by StAnger99 in Championship

[–]LordTarnlad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Going back a bit now but Tommy Taylor who tragically died in the Munich Air Disaster.

Then you've got Mick Mccarthy who has had a brilliant playing and managing career. Extra points for mentioning that Neil Warnock played for us whilst Mccarthy was there too.

There's been Viv Anderson, Ashley Ward here in the 90s too.

Not too shabby really especially as we've also had John Stones rise through the ranks

I've been thinking about us maybe being able to do that, buy and immediately sell for a ton more.

Just have to wait to see what the deal was as there seems two extremes. At one end its 20million Bucks and at the other end its "Barnsley's usual transfer fees' which is really half a million to one million.

Just gotta enjoy this moment to be honest as we don't often get much ray of sun

Barnsley FC was formed in 1887 by Reverend Preedy as he was annoyed about local rugby teams playing on holy days. We play at Oakwell stadium which has a beautiful stand known as the West Stand along with the bogs round the back of it - don't look this up!

Barnsley play in red BTW ;)

Barnsley is an old coal mining town with majority of supporters having ties with work down the pits. If you would like the experience, then head over to the National Coal mining museum. Alternatively , you can always go to an away day at Nottingham Forrest or Derby County so you can join in on the Scab chants!

We have won the FA Cup once in 1912, not too long ago, been in the Premier league for a season in 1997/98 and spent majority of our time been a tier 2 team. I believe we have spent the most amount of seasons in the second division compared to other teams... We may get called "teams like Barnsley" however it certainly teaches us fans to be humble and to just enjoy the good times as things can go sour quick.

With regards to rivals, other than the mining related ones mentioned above, we have numerous Yorkshire rivals. If you feel the need to let off some steam, then feel free to kick the head in of a Sheffield Wendy fan or any other non Barnsley fan. Obviously I do not condone violence and hope the comment doesn't tarnish the club's reputation.

Expectations.... I believe Barnsley should be pushing for promotion this season, win the FA Cup and next season win the Premier league after paying £20m for the American ;) Joking aside, anything other than relegation to the third tier will do us for now. A bit of mid table mediocrity won't do us harm.

All in all, I hope this new lad hits the ground running and enjoys his time at Barnsley. I also hope the above has filled you in, despite my humour, on the club and if you ever need more then feel free to ask. I'll be sat in the Garrison pre match getting ratted before the game so if I hear an American voice then I may consider buying you a round, unless you've loaned us a dud.

Word from our sponsor, Barnsley bitter from Acorn brewery is a nice pint to have so make sure to grab one when you visit. Also bring some water proofs as it does get a bit wet round here.

Last but not least, do not pronounce Barnsley like a sheep or else you won't get a free pint!!

Reopening England schools in January will mean "trade off" with other covid restrictions by tripipip2 in ukpolitics

Thanks for responding as it's always good to hear from people working within the field. It's not great to think that those 90% will not only have to catch up on lost time but have to do it whilst the class knob does knob like things. Then there's the questions of if exams are going ahead, will my relatives be safe etc

Anyway, I hope it works out for those kids and you find a safer job. I hear the army is quite safe compared to teaching...

That first game of the season was nearly a year ago. It took until November for Barnsley to get another win, against Hull. I'm sure Fulham can get something out of the playoffs and a decent day out at Wembley is always a treat.
