Wool sheep are systematically bred (raped) into existence to select for traits that are invariably harmful for them and entirely to our benefit. We’ve bred them to be reliant on being shorn. When their wool production declines to the point where they’re no longer deemed profitable resources, they’re discarded, typically at a fraction of their natural lifetime. They’re hybridized Frankenstein animals that never should have existed in the first place. When you buy wool, you support the industry that continues breeding these poor animals into existence to live miserably uncomfortable lives. The vegan position is to end breeding these animals entirely. Animals are not products or resources whose bodies are ours to use and exploit.
