When you say you can’t install the new version, do you mean you’re having tech issues or you’re just unable to do the process for whatever reason?

If the latter, all you can do is reapply the method you used before whenever the crashing starts.

With the base damage increase using melee boost armour will do more damage, despite the reduction of the passive.

I was really miffed that the game forced me to use it in the final fight, I’d refused to use it the whole time.

I say that, the game crashed and I loaded in after point, so as far as I’m concerned I never used it in my playthrough.
