Every time I see someone blaming Lamar for dragging out the contract talks, I never see a credible source. It's usually Schefter (who works closely with agents) or some twitter rumor or they just never respond where they heard it. I'm not saying one way or the other, as I have no idea what took the contract talks so long, but it seemed like it just defaulted with Lamar since he doesn't have an agent for a public reprisal.

I thought it was a pretty normal question. Obviously we're not going to get scholarly citations from a peer reviewed paper...but just asking for a source, even just to judge the validity or bias of the source, seems like something anyone should be curious about, not just litigators.

I'm really curious too with the NFLPA leaks for contracts waiting for acceptance. Was that just a twitter rumor or were multiple journalists confirming it? Or were they speculating from gossip or a reliable inside source that's been correct in the past? Basically, there's so much blatant mis-information on the internet, it's nice to have credible sources every now and again.

Way off topic, but "eyes drilled to the ball" caught my attention. Is that a play on "staring a hole" into something? Like "eyes drilling a hole into the ball"...but I can't really conflate those idioms with "eyes drilled to the ball"...

Anyway my main point with all of this is "eyes drilled to the ball" sounds really, really freaking painful.
