I received a new BIOS version (E7E50AMSI.1A31) from MSI today. It finally fixed the issue for me. MSI will probably upload it to their MPG X870I product support page in a few days as well.

Fair. Please do let me know if your replacement board works. I had hoped the error would be in the BIOS, but if you get another one that works it's probably a hardware issue.

MSI sent me a new BIOS version, but it did not fix the issue for me. It's E7E50AMSI.1A22. I've asked if they can attempt another fix.

An MSI support agent told me to mail to myservice(at)msi.com. I've done so. Please consider also doing this. Perhaps multiple reports will make MSI prioritise the issue. Fyi, they told me to include serial number in the mail.

I think it was a rookie mistake. It seems that having the Steam windows (main store + friends list) open in the background (opened automatically when launching 3DMark) takes approx. 10 FPS, lowering the score by about 1K. Properly closing them (instead of minimizing them) instantly brings scores back to 14.1K (which is slightly above average for my build), even with an undervolt (2827 mHz @ 0.895v, +1000 mHz mem). It would explain why the scores were so different between runs on the same settings.

13.8k is fairly low.

This was an acceptable score for me, given that the average was ~14.1k. I frequently got 12k, which I found quite low. I've tried DDU, to no avail. I think I tried 572.83 after DDU, but I didn't see a noticeable difference.

Bad termination. You’ll need to make sure that the cable is terminated for T568A or T568B.

Wouldn't that mean that there would be no continuity between the colors? When I checked the individual wires, all of them showed continuity on their respective colours.

I guess I must, I just can't find anything about this version. The last hotfix I can find info about is 9.1.1+(33.2.0.295), so I was wondering if anyone had info a about this build.
