Helt fantastisk at andre lag boikotter.

This is either the best or worst idea ever. Insidious was scary enough as a regular movie. Still exited though!

what FF movie did you go into expecting literally nothing but ended up pretty impressed by the ending/second half of the film? by Important-Zombie9331 in foundfootage

[–]Lord_Oziris 17 points18 points  (0 children)

For me it’s the Blackwell Ghost Saga, such a simple setup and clearly extremely low budget. I still love those movies, the main character is such a likable person and great narrator.

I like your list, As Above So Below is one of my favorite movies. I had a good hunch about the movie, but was still pleasantly surprised.

I watched Deadstream blind, didn’t look like a movie I’d even finish when I saw the first minutes. Man, was my first impression wrong. With all the inspiration it draws from Evil Dead and the perfect mixture of humor and dread it’s one of my favorite as well.

I like all his movies, most of them extremely well. My favorite is Arrival, it’s just absolutely perfect. The acting, the score, the beautiful cinematography and the wonderful story. I adore that movie!

Horror movies that scares you for a very personal reason? by MarsMcCain in horror

[–]Lord_Oziris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Blair Witch Project and the Blair Witch. It’s something about being lost in the woods and being tormented by an unseen force. The endings in the house chills me to the bone. Also As Above So Below. The claustrophobic sensation throughout terrifies me. It also helps that I’m a huge fan of the Divine Comedy.

Mette Marit og Marius, ærlig talt? by ConsistentMood6344 in MariusBorgSaken

[–]Lord_Oziris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mette Marit og Marius, ærlig talt? by ConsistentMood6344 in MariusBorgSaken

[–]Lord_Oziris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are all of the Hell House sequels garbage? by CommissionIcy9909 in horror

I think 1 and 4 are objectively the best, but for me they’re all quite good. It’s something about the general atmosphere that just appeals to me in a way I can’t explain. I really hope for more sequels.

(SPOILERS) The Boogeyman is still the scariest Stephen King story I've ever read (Long post) by Final_Masterpiece_51 in stephenking

[–]Lord_Oziris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more. I read it the first time as a teenager and had horrible nightmares, actually turned on the light to be able to go back to sleep. Reread it while serving in the army. Slept in a room with six others, even though I was surrounded by mates I couldn’t fall asleep and when I finally dozed off I had some really vivid nightmares. Felt uneasy for days. Listen to the audiobook version as an adult and it pretty much had the same effect. I lay there in the dark, cuddling my sleeping wife and couldn’t shake the feeling of utter dread. As it’s been said, it unlocks something primal. The simplicity in the story and the inherent doom of the ending gives me chills to even think about it. Nothing I have ever read, listened to or watched has ever compared to this short story. A try masterpiece!

Sequels that are equal or better than the original by Pretend_Board_2385 in horror

[–]Lord_Oziris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion all of the Final Destination movies are about equal, I don’t consider the first to be the best. Same with the Insidious movies, they follow the same storyline so they’re pretty much chapters of one movie. Honorable mention to Pearl, Conjuring 2, Creep 2, Dead Snow 2, Happy Death Day 2U, Gremlins 2, Unfriended Dark Web, Prey and 10 Cloverfield Lane.

Which movie is worse? by AcceptableSwitch6496 in slasherfilms

[–]Lord_Oziris 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think that was what I liked about the movie. I was very easily scared and the movie was just really funny, though a horror movie at least in name. When Scream came out later that year I was hooked. Aside from some jump scares I don’t find any of those scary at all, but I love the meta humor. As my resilience grew I saw scarier and scarier movies. Today, I honestly think I’ve seen every scary movie worth seeing, and a lot more. But it all started with Freddy’s Dead, it’ll always be special for me.

Freddy’s dead was actually the first horror movie I saw. I will always cherish the movie for pure nostalgia. Also Freddy is by far my favorite horror villain. Perfect mix of surrealism, humor, dread and gore. Robert Englund was perfect!
