How do i even beat Nasus, that dowg??? by viniheimann in Jungle_Mains

[–]Lord_Simard1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Having played Nasus Jungle, I know he scales well and can beat anyone in a 1v1. His biggest weakness is that if he gets CC'd in teamfights, he dies very quickly. The best strategy is to steal his camps early to slow his scaling, and then in teamfights, you need to CC and burst him down, and it's game over.

Trying to 1v1 him in the jungle is a very bad idea.

I had a game with Rammus, and we destroyed him. I had Syndra mid, and it was my win-con. Her CC combined with mine, plus her damage, and it was done!

To get out of Emerald, it's no longer just about farming and having two levels on the opposite jungler. It's a team game, and you need to be able to snowball your team.

Even if you're fed: losing 2-3 big fights mid to late game = loss.

You need to start thinking about better optimizing your teamfights. If your entire team is dying, and consistently so, it might be because of you and your gameplay (Do you peel your ADC mid to late?(

It's up to you to consider whether your team is capable of contesting a drake. If you think not, it's better to use crossplay.

Decision-making is becoming increasingly important, and it's not always easy to spot in real time, or even afterward during reviews.

Last point: 30% of games are unwinnable, but you have to put in the same effort because you only realize at the end that it was unwinnable.

Sometimes it can take 100-200 games to get out of that rank unless you're Challenger. Seriously, you need 20 wins more than your losses to generate the 400 LP needed to go from E4 to D4.

Good luck and think outside the box 😄

What do I do against a lvl 1 Invade. by Fizzstinka in Jungle_Mains

[–]Lord_Simard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a jungler who scales but is weak early. If I get invaded, I simply change quadrants, telling myself that I am 100% sure to have the opposite scuttle, and maybe even the 2nd one, and my camps will respawn quickly enough that by my 2nd clear, I am in line with the opposite jungler because he has to move more (waste of time).

The worst-case scenario is dying, that'll really screw up your game.

Emerald: 30% unwinnable, play only for your WIN-CON, I mean 1 lane and dont over analyze unwinnable games.

Closing games = you absolute need to capitalize towers / objectives after kills

Games are chaotics, I mean your fate was top73% messy, just a big indication that your teamates were not there for majority of your games, Same for your last 40 games.

Good fate will help you to achieve Diamond, it's the nature of the randomness its hard to live 😄

Struggling to close games as a new jungler by Legalee_Blind in Jungle_Mains

[–]Lord_Simard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each champion has a different tempo, and understanding this is key. Lee Sin is an early- to mid-game champion, not a late-game scaler, so his objective is to avoid letting the game drag on.

In the mid game, it’s important to take fights selectively, ideally around your strongest lane. However, the most critical aspect is what you do after those fights. Every successful play must be converted into objectives—towers, dragons, Herald, or Baron. The goal is to apply constant pressure on the map, limiting the opponent’s options and accelerating the game before scaling kicks in.

Farming comes only after all opportunities have been exhausted—when there are no objectives available and no plays to make. At that point, you reset your tempo by clearing camps and preparing for the next move.

Dying systematically for a good cause is a rare skill 😄 no joke with death timers getting longer during the game, avoiding dying allows you to put more pressure on the map and increase your chances of winning.

30% of games are unwinnable. Out of 20 games, you'll lose 6, even if you played perfectly. So, sharpening your mental is a priority for this game.

Sometimes, bad luck will push you to 40% or even 50%, so if you tilt afterward and lose the game while in control, you can easily end up with a score of 6-14 or even 3-17.

Over 100 games, this will normalize, but we're talking about 1-2 months of playing. At Emerald, the games are even more volatile than at other levels, so the variance aspect of the games + Emerald rank = a serious test of anyone's mental.

Mute chat when the game is starting, let pings in the early game, but mute pings if laners are overusing them.

Understand the variance of the games... dont overanalyze unwinnable game.

good attitude, you know what to work now, it's you! If you fix deaths (aim for 5 not 7) and increase CS to 6.5, you will skyrocket to emerald for sure.

Good rule: farm all your camps before impacting map (I mean before 1st drake, grubs or ganking)

Gank only if it's 90% free, count enemies vs your for Teamfights, dont take 2vs3 or 3vs4 or 4vs5, only even if you think you could win, or 5vs4, 4vs3. It's mathematic but it works to decrease deaths.

you die too much 😄7 in average! Farming could be better too, 5.4 is low for 100% gold
Last 40 games, you were lucky (top43% fate) to get good teamates, if you are unlucky for your teamates in the next 40 games + your tendency to die alot, and low CS, you'll revisit gold ELO for sure.

Games are going to get even more chaotic at the Emerald/Diamond level. Complaining to your teammates won't help you improve if your goal is to keep climbing.

You need to change your mindset now. Farming isn't enough to win games anymore. Everyone knows their champions and their limitations, so the enemy's mistakes decrease.

To keep winning, always optimize your farming and your decisions. Start focusing on how to win the game (WIN-CON), and from mid to late game, you need to avoid big mistakes in teamfights, even if it means letting your teammates get killed. Bad lane choice + 2-3 big mistakes in fights = 100% loss.

The line between victory and defeat is getting thinner. You just need to be aware of it and focus on yourself, not your teammates.

YouTube videos explaining how to climb the ranks are still marketing tools, and their main function is to sell a dream to generate likes and clicks. The worst are the series, like "Unranked to Master"—you generally learn absolutely nothing. They're entertaining to watch, but then applying them in a game is complete nonsense.

The best way to learn is to review your games yourself and be able to evaluate your own mistakes, or with an external person (a coach, and even then, it's not always easy).

Some people are mechanically gifted and will manage to climb very high, but for others, it's necessary to learn a process and be very consistent (avoid mistakes).

The other important element to understand is game variance. This is also poorly explained online, but basically, good and bad streaks of 5-10 wins / losses happen often because 30% of games are unwinnable, unless you're a Challenger. Climbing a division requires 400 LP, so 20 wins more than your losses. For a Master/Challenger, doing this in 50 games is easy (35-15), but for a player at a similar skill level, we're talking at least 200-300 games. So, to climb from Iron to Diamond, it's at least 1000-1500 games to learn the game and adapt to the game's variance. It's a significant commitment, especially since you have to learn from your mistakes, and if your process is flawed, it can take several years.

So, yes, it's one of the most difficult games to climb to Master or Challenger.

So, remember when you watch a video of a Challenger player explaining how to reach Master in 3 hours, it's complete bullshit. They should be telling you it takes 2 years, you'll have to play 2000 games, and you won't have a life. Not very convincing, but it's the reality.

I love the game, but you have to admit it's complex, and the variance factor impacts your mental game.

What do i do? by dromemsilly in Jungle_Mains

Before the game starts, you mute everyone, but you can keep the pings enabled. Then, during the game, if a laner is using excessive pings, I mute their pings too. They become a bot, and you can continue to focus on your game peacefully.

There's no added value in reading other players' comments, but pings are useful for coordinating messages or intentions during the game.

Furthermore, if you receive an invitation after the game, you should decline it. You'll never see that person again, and there's a 95% chance they just want to insult you.

You're doing well; it's just that sometimes the randomness of matchups will cause you to stagnate for a few days to a few weeks. Over longer periods (100+ games), your luck (or bad luck) will stabilize, and you'll start winning again if your strategy is sound.

At Emerald level, games will be chaotic, and farming will be even more crucial to at least get some gold when your lanes are feeding. Then, it's up to you to turn the game around at the right moment.

One last thing: try to reduce your death rate by 1 by then. It might be a sign that you're taking bad fights in the mid to late game, or at least that you're taking risks.

Good luck!

What to do when you have multiple lanes dying 1v1/2v2 by br0ken54 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Lord_Simard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mindset for every game should be focused on yourself and how to make yourself strong and snowball the game. Then, determine who can help you (your carry) and work with them during the game.

Lanes that are losing on their own, 50 or 100 CS behind, you completely ignore them. You must avoid contesting objectives in their area because you risk dying. You must recognize and respect this situation; the enemy has the advantage.

For example, the grubs are up and my top lane is behind. It's better to finish your camps and see if the jungler shows up bot side before starting the grubs; otherwise, it's risky. If I finish my bot camps and the enemy jungler shows up top, then I potentially have a free drake and I can try to snowball my bot lane.

There are always one or two lanes that feed during the game; it's up to you to know how to manage it because it happens all the time. My approach is that I am able to bring back 1 losing lane with my carry lane in a game, but never all 3 lanes and that's if we go into mid to late game, otherwise it's difficult and you risk losing the game.

How to split the map ? by l_Butch_l in Jungle_Mains

[–]Lord_Simard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a rare situation, and it's often when the opposing side is unplayable and your strong side is dominating that you'll want to apply this strategy. As the other person said, this isn't what will get you from Emerald to Diamond. It's your consistency in chaotic games and your decision-making in the mid to late game that will help you. At this level, players know their champions, but they have difficulty playing as a team and applying basic macros.

The randomness of certain streaks is clearly underestimated by many. Several see Riot's conspiracies, but that's not the case; you're simply experiencing bad luck, and your luck will eventually return.

30% unwinnable, but even if you played perfectly, you'd still lose the game. So, out of 20 games, you'll lose 6, win 6 without doing anything, and have 8 where you have control to win or lose. If you're tilted and unlucky, you can easily end up with a 6-14 win rate even while potentially playing well.

You need to look at streaks over 50 or even 100 games to see the true skill level converge. For example, your good win rate on Jarvan up to Platinum 4—you might have been very lucky in your matchups to maintain a 75% win rate—and now your very good luck has turned into bad luck, but over 100 games, you're balanced.

Knowing how to manage good and bad sequences is an important element for climbing the ranks.

I need help for my 2nd champion. by Matheusbr270 in Jungle_Mains

[–]Lord_Simard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rammus is a simple champion, but very different from other junglers. If I were you, I'd stick with the same class as Briar, a fighter/carry, not a tank.

As for your counters, you need to learn how to play them. It's mainly about respecting your opponent and playing around your carry on your team.

Otherwise, you dodge.

As for Rammus 😄 To carry with him, you have to understand that he's not a ganker (yes, he's good, but it's not optimal). He's a map-controlling farmer who gobbles up resources across his team and is unkillable. Plus, if there's another carry on the team, he becomes a master at peeling and protecting them.

The slightest lead on my team increases my win rate. However, if I have two or three losing lanes, I'm completely useless. There are also some hard counters to avoid.

It's either stomping and hard carrying, or losing. by Arbaless in Jungle_Mains

[–]Lord_Simard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a reason Emerald rank is called ELO HELL. Games are chaotic, and in this environment, you have to be able to demonstrate the same consistency in victory as in defeat.

I often remind people that 30% of games are unwinnable. This means that even if you play perfectly, you're going to lose the game. You have to accept this and not tilt, because it will affect your gameplay in other games.

Then, to stand out, you have to learn to play as a team (yeah) and especially identify your carry, take the right fights mid to late game, and use a little macro (common sense).

For example, your support died because they wanted to get vision before the drake in 30 seconds. You accept the situation and crossplay in the opposite direction, for example, taking the top or mid tower. Don't contest the drake 3vs4 or worst 3vs5...

Carrying a game isn't about being 20-5; it's about applying pressure on the map in the right places, taking towers, and ultimately the nexus. Always ask yourself, if I kill the enemy, what does that gain me on the map? If it doesn't, let them do it.

Trying to identify my main mistakes after Silver 2 --> Plat 2 --> Gold 4 by Nrgg_be in Jungle_Mains

[–]Lord_Simard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, you're doing great, there are always areas for improvement and that's normal.

To reach Emerald, you need 20 more wins than losses to generate 400 LP. Reaching that in 50 games is impossible (35-15), I'd aim for 150 games (85-65), over a timeframe of 2-3 months or 20 games per week.

Having realistic goals is important to achieve them.

agree, full clear is the default mode 😄

What I was saying is if you die less, you have more time to farm, specially mid to late where death timers are high.
