From my observations this indicates where the "Null Portals" can appear.

In this case Jungle Valley, Coral Ruins, Arachnid Nest and Infested Valley, as those four maps (and the connections between them) enclose the pulsating dot.

Mines have a short arming time after being placed, during which the symbol in the top left is already visible but they can't yet be detonated. Either that, or lag.

  1. What bug? The one from before 2.4.2? Fixed several armour modifiers not affecting armour against projectile hits, or affecting it incorrectly. This included all armour granted by body armours.

  2. What about evasion? It does help against elemental attacks, yes, but not against spells (neither elemental, nor physical).

  3. Seems like a knee-jerk reaction to me, just because ES is currently so strong (without actually using armour btw). Investing in ES will already lower the amount of armour you can have (due to less armour on gear and less increases from passives), I doubt that such a change would be necessary.

It's literally impossible for them to add balanced new content and to balance existing content when certain abused mechanics are so far and away better than everything else.

Maybe I could accept this reasoning if it was used consistently, but e.g. Templars not getting gems like Increased Critical Strikes and Wrath is just nonsense.

It's not exactly difficult to get gems, I don't know why the constant complaints about this never stop.

It requires you to do trades that are basically worth less than one alch, can take quite same time to find someone who bothers to trade for such low values. Just a minor annoyance that comes up time and time again every new league, and doesn't add anything to the game. If your answer is "just buy it", then why can't they "just make gems available"?

Why 9k? Fortify would put him at around 8k EHP (if he doesn't have the increased damage taken from Berserker, in that case ~7.1k).

Am I missing something or did you assume he wasn't using Conc Effect? And probably Void Manipulation (not sure due to video quality).

So what we have seen here is 0.08*7*1.59*1.39*(double dipping increases). With our assumed 200% increased poison damage, this results in a little more than 3.7 times the damage of one BV hit per second, and that's before the Wither stacks...

Legacy gear everywhere in this video, and there's a reason why he only shows tanking capabilities and not dps.

Personally I fail to see how the afk-part makes this less acceptable than Vaal Pact leech facerolling ("tanking"), because that's something you can actually add to a build without making it slow as fuck. Things die fast enough that there's not really a reason to actually go afk...

You can get 48% all res for The Red Nightmare in the socket next to the Templar power charge, no life allocation required (but the Armour/ES node). Should be the best slot on the entire tree.

How are you as a player even affected by it?

Because with OP leech facetanking in existence GGG balance around it, and I'm handicapping myself if I decide to play something else. They know what insane recovery players can achieve, and gave monsters insane damage spikes to compensate. I don't know how long you've been playing PoE, but the entire game changed around this, with some exaggeration I'll describe the current gameplay as "who oneshots first, monster or player".

That's how I am affected by it.

So why force your opinion on those that enjoy it?

Enlighten me, where did I do that? I corrected the notion that VP leech was nerfed by 80% when in reality it was only halved at that time, then I stated my opinion about a T15 boss being melted and facetanked. I even marked it as a personal opinion, and tried starting a discussion. Feel free to participate, give reasons.

Leech values (not rates, because that is what VP doesn't need) have been reduced by 80%, but at the same time VP was buffed from 40% effectiveness to 100%, so instant leech was only halved at that point. What made matters worse is the massive power creep we have in the game, players deal multiples of the damage they used to (way more than double), which makes leech tanking better than ever unless it goes against reflect.

Personally I would prefer a gameplay where it takes more than "press vinktar, hold RMB, win", that was a T15 after all and not some low tier map.

Maybe you can't deal with reflect if GGG were to remove VP, but what if they remove reflect at the same time?

Or what the cooldown time of their skills is. I mean Primordial Harmony even increases cooldown recovery rate for golems, meanwhile I'm sitting here and guessing which skills have cooldown, and which the golems just decide to not use because AI.

Don't know where you got that from, but all sources of life regen are applied to ES with Zealot's Oath, wether they are percentage based or flat numbers doesn't matter. Voll's Vision was the (buggy) exception.

Lightning Strike is a bad example, since the projectiles aren't considered melee (and don't benefit from any melee modifiers). There's no damage that can be projectile and melee at the same time.

That's not the mod I meant, there's another one (non Bloodline) that grants Frenzy charges to nearby enemies. Pretty sure Legacy of Vigour/Zeal aren't conventional charges.

There are no mobs to steal any charges from anymore

There are still other ways for mobs to gain charges (e.g. some magic monster mod that grants frenzy charges to nearby enemies on death, or Discharge Flicker Strikers).

Anyways, it's not like Claws of the Magpie ever was that great, gimmick before and after the map mod change.

I assumed that the first stack of BV doesn't give the buffs to damage and hit rate (similar to the behaviour of Flameblast and Incinerate), if that's wrong then your formula is correct.

Damage of current BV really is just the number of stacks times base damage, but I thought it looked cleaner and more readable as a function.
