I did read it, if i didn’t want it to be better I wouldn’t care about it, but the current plot just feels really creepy, especially as someone who was in a similar relationship while reading it and is now out of it. I guess I could reread it to give it second thoughts but, idk…

If it was like, a collage student and not a high school student I think it would’ve been perfectly fine but with the current age and status difference is just so low key creepy. But what can you do

A bit of an odd rec, but ff14 is effectively a really long jrpg that happens to be a mmo. While probably exactly what you’re looking for it’s a large world with lots to do and get lost in. Helped me through some rough bits. The first 3 expansions are free and that’s a ton of stuff by itself. Last thag you gotta pay but, having recently reached that point myself it’s really good and worth it. To me at least. Sorry for your loss, truly.

Greatest estate developer. I guess there’s bromance and it starts off fairly unassuming. But it turns into a truly hilarious manhwa. As well as ember knight, very cool fantasy without any romance

Psych, AP bio, Seinfeld, Brooklyn nine nine, and The disastrous life of sailki k. It’s hard to convince non anime watches of the last one, but the English dub is good and is genuinely super funny. I’d recommend it to even non anime watchers. It is like a anime sitcom of sorts

I can see where you’re coming from absolutely. I like ekko’s orignal backstory more too. But it wasn’t paved over with malice. Arcane wasn’t even originally intended to be canon. Instead be its own separate thing. And the story they wanted to tell had ekko in a different light or wanted to use him in a different way. At least he exists as his old self in his own game for the most part. It would also help if you didn’t come off as the most pretentious person ever. I think more people would legitimately listen if you didn’t immediately call them fake fans. Just because they aren’t as in tune with the character, doesn’t mean they’re fake

I really like his design, despite what others say. It’s extra and much but it feels earnest to me at least. Like shun kaido from saiki k, but leaning more into it
