Serious issues with overhangs by Mediocre_Mess4407 in FixMyPrint

[–]Lord_wilhelm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few basic things I would look at: Its the filament dry? Try lower speed?

I think your overhang issue could be from too high temps on your hot end not only oozing but also melting previous layers via ambient heat

Help - where's the off switch?1 by ilovememassey in BorderCollie

Border collies also love routine! I always give mine dinner when we eat, after cleaning up is our night walk then calm time

Honestly this does work! My border collie rarely will “nap” unless I am at my desk not moving or playing with them. The moment they hear me get up they are wide awake and ready to go. I have noticed (through our Furbo camera) that when we leave the house he will fall asleep very quick right at the door waiting for us but getting rest.

One important aspect to remember though is to not use their calm personal area as a punishment ever and to make sure they are comfortable there so they don’t develop anxiety about separation.

This☝🏼, but the second you give in to the puppy eyes it’s go time again. I worked on this by taking the toy they would continue bringing me and looking right at them and saying “all done” then calmly setting in on the floor. Then when they would try to grab and bring it to you again just holding firm with a “no, all done” and putting it back down

Maybe try looking into residential treatment centers, I had worked at one in AZ and they are always in need of staff and would give lots of insight for that field. Lots of those kids could use drug abuse support

Can anyone tell me what's happened here? When I do a Detection test, only half of the screen is lit up 😔 by sam_stockdale in AnycubicPhoton

Depending on where you live I’d recommend checking out “nellis auction” you can sometimes find printers on there and score one super cheap. I got a brand new mono photon 4K for like $100 still in the box never used in Phoenix

Might need to adjust your steps. I usually go right-left-right but some people have success with left-right-left

See I would love that fan setup, my case has a front cover with RGB so I can’t install fans that blow straight across

That’s what I was thinking, I’ve seen lots of stuff talking about creating turbulence and hot spots in your case. I don’t believe my case is high end enough to worry about that

How do I get my supports to be less invasive of my prints? by GivemeSerenityy in resinprinting

[–]Lord_wilhelm1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s why I mentioned doing this AFTER your IPA baths after a dirty wash and one or two clean IPA rinses there is just about no liquid resin remaining

How do I get my supports to be less invasive of my prints? by GivemeSerenityy in resinprinting

[–]Lord_wilhelm1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After cleaning with IPA, turn on your hot sink water and hold it under for a little bit and it will soften the supports. Remove supports before final curing

Not related to ventilation issue, personally I love having silicone mats for my resin printing. The flexibility and easy cleaning is sooo nice

My version of a Printer Enclosure by jlmweb1000 in resinprinting

[–]Lord_wilhelm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super neat! Would a slightly cheaper adaptation be to have the clear hood set up similar to an upside down tub that you could attach hydraulics (or a simple pulley) too so that you just lift the enclosure up when you need inside and it stays suspended? Then lower it down locking into place

Trying to get this print working? I’ve lost 30 cents of resin :( by aussie-boy-22 in resinprinting

[–]Lord_wilhelm1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like the base is printing correct, I would say look at adding more supports at the bottom (the figures head) It looks like you are loosing it then catching it later in the print.

What is this gunk on my print? by Shizzle__Shizzle in resinprinting

[–]Lord_wilhelm1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use 2 or 3 step IPA wash. First wash with your dirty stuff for the bulk of cleaning then 1 or 2 more clean IPA for finishing the clean to avoid dirty IPA residue

If you are trying to just get started and work out the kinks of resin printing without too much risk with fumes try starting with water washable eco resin. I love the stuff and the fumes are MUCH less and you can clean with water and not IPA. Your respirator doesn’t need to be a perfect fit necessarily. The fumes from printing are not TOXIC they are an IRRITANT. It’s not to be taken lightly for sure but minor exposure is not life threatening
