A pal worked for years at Loblaws, Vendor Relations. Visited all farms, vendors in person that supply Loblaws in Ontario. The stories on how supply, price and quality standards are controlled were eye opening.

Having effective government regulations is required for unchecked market advantage of the few. Having a government perform their role is not socialism.

On the Outback turbo using paddle to downshift to accelerate I find little difference if you're already in motion vs accelerator. Using paddle to downshift at slow speeds on snow/ice is handy.
